Is BBB, Macys, and Crate and Barrel too much? How the heck do u keep track of where u registeres for what and did u have an idea od which items u were goinf to register for at which store before yiu went?

Re: your registry

We registered at BBB and thats it. FH and I have been living together for 4 years so we have all our things but mostly everything we have is either realllllly cheap or hand me downs so we registered for our own things. when you go, they give you a list of what people register for the you can look at all the different models and brands they carry and chose there. Thats what we did at least. It's soooo much fun!!! We spent like 4 hours there playing with everything lol

Re: your registry

We registered at all three, we only did that because we know some people like to purchase things at certain stores so we gave people options. but we didn't go to all of the store, we only went to BBB, that is where majority of our registry stuff is on. Whatever we didn't get at BBB or if we found something cheaper priced at crate and Barrel, we put it on there. We edited our registries online alot. I am not sure if we r gonna keep our Macys registry cause A lot of Macys prices change so much at any time. one minute it could be cheap the next it could be really expensive and I don't want our guest to have to pay crazy money for something that was cheaper at one point. But I don't think its a problem to have all three. Have fun Registering!!

3 registries isn't bad.. but I wouldn't do more than that.

After I registered (I registered at 2 places) I went home online and compared the 2 registries side by side because there were some small things I registered at one store and forgot about..then registered at the second store for the same thing.

For instance I registered for wine glasses at BBB, did my second registry 2 days later and forgot about the wine glasses..and then registered for a second set at the other store..
so when I went online I picked my favorite and delete the other set.

I'd say all in all we did half in store and half online.

I should also mention we had a Macys registry.. then we realized everything we put in that registry (mostly appliance things) could be found cheaper at BBB(the exact things). so we ended up deleting the Macys registry even though it would have earned us rewards unlike BBB.

Re: your registry

i registered in person at C&B, and online at BBB and Williams Sonoma. I did the big run through at C&B, putting everything that I liked on the list. When I got home, I did a side by side comparison like Jess did with my other online registries...I removed duplicates based on pricing. I was also able to compare a few items that were similar from different stores and choose my favorite.

I found the same thing at Macy's - I found almost everything cheaper at BBB or C&B so I eliminated that registry.

Crate & Barrel
BB&B
Macys

All were done online though I did go into C&B to check out some stuff I wanted to see in person to make a decision.

We're registered at BBB & Macys. We created the BBB registry in store and Macys online. Honesty I've probably changed the registries 100 times.
Good Luck! :)

Re: your registry

I just recently registered at Crate & Barrel and Bloomingdales. Crate & Barrel is for my appliances and kitchen needs and Bloomingdales is for my fine china, everyday china, flatware, everyday flatware, and fine stemware.

I did both online but then went to Bloomingdales to check out the china in person. They were so unbelievably helpful and nice at the Huntington Bloomingdales store. They even have 'mock tables' set up where you can set up the patterns that you like to get an idea of how everything looks together.

FH is not very into registering so I have been having a ball looking at everything online and setting them up the past few weeks

well I keep track of registries through my wedding website (through mywedding.com) I registered at Macys--which is my main one and BBB. I also have 2-3 things at Oneida for flatware.

We registered at BBB. I think most of what we wanted was there, but I may check out C&B too.

we registered at macy's, crate & barrel and bed bath and beyond..

then my future step-mom-in-law wanted to spend the day with me and take me to register at michael c fina...so i went above the 3 i wanted. oh well

we registered for diff things at each place and spread it out. some ppl only have access to certain stores.

china, bedding, appliances are from macys
pots, pans bed bath and beyond
vases, frames, glasses from crate & barrel
sterling silverware, fancy stuff from michael c fina

you can go online and keep track of everything. take stuff off, add, etc etc

you will become addicted! especially when you realize you can see who bought what! i'm a total stalker!

Mock table was a HUGE help...I suggest going there and playing around with everything...I'm a very visual person and needed to see the china, flatware, and crystal all together to see what I liked.

Re: your registry

i recently went to a shower where a girl was registered for west elm, they had cute stuff! there are also honeymoon registrys (which is what i think we are going to do) because we have been living together now over two years and pretty much have everything in our apt and are not looking to move right now.

There is also another site called myregistry.com which i have heard alot about but am unfamiliar with.
