I had my mom's remade into a more modern one, and i used two layers of her FOUR layers! It's a lot of veil, and i'm debating on taking out a layer and making it one tier....thoughts?

I think it depends on your dress...and of course it comes down to what you want.
I am in the process of veil shopping...I am probably going to do a simple one tier veil. I want my dress to stand out and not have a veil take away from it.

My veil was two. It was a floor length and then shoulder length- the floor length one was detachable and I took it off after the ceremony!

I like the fullness of two tiers so that's what I went with, but I had them add the embroidery and bead work that's on the one tier onto the second to match it...again it's whatever you like!!

Mine has one layer with very little detail on it - just a thin rolled edge. I wanted something very simple and flowy.
I don't have a veil yet, but I just wanted to say that I love that you're using your mom's veil...so sweet.
