Is your wedding turning out to be what you thought it would?
I would have to say not..but in a surprisingly good way.. But my dress, the BM dresses, the flowers right down to my invitations are all not what i thought they were going to look like.. The only things i knew for sure that actually happened is the hall and the favors! Otherwise everything else I am EXTREMELY HAPPY how everything is turning out but i am kinda shocked too!
ANyone else?

Re: Your wedding?
I am very happy with everything that we've chosen... what isn't turning out the way I thought it would are the expenses. Vendors pull every last dime from you, and then when you go to finalize items/ideas, they try to upgrade you & charge you even more. It's quite annoying how they take advantage of couples sometimes!

Re: Your wedding?
Well, except for the hall, I think everything is turning out great. I am seriously wishing we would have had the budget and the minimun guest count for a Crest Hollow wedding. That place haunts me.
But I am not stressing over it. Leonard's is beautiful and the service is great.

Re: Your wedding?
Everything is working out as planned. The only thing I would change would be the invite list. I wouldn't have so many people. I wanted a small wedding and I'm inviting 145. I'm hoping for maximum of 120 showing.

Re: Your wedding?
For me, so far, nothing is turning out like I thought!!!! I must be the worst planner in the world!
I love the hall, but not happy that there are so many weddings - wish I chose one with only one wedding..
Very dissapointed with my band after hearing they don't play the songs that you ask them to - even when they say no problem.
So far these are the only vendors I booked... well, and the photographer...
Well, hopefully everything will turn out well...
I am known to change my mind all the time

Is your wedding turning out to be what you thought it would?
This is a good question. I think my wedding is coming together exactly how I planned it would, BUT I think that I'M not the way I thought I would be. I can be very specific in what I like and the way I want things done, but for some reason, I'm VERY laid back with the planning. I'm kind of surprised that I've kept my perspective about how it's not about whether the dresses are the perfect color, but it's about JT and I. Not that I don't have time to lose myself in the planning details, but we've been engaged for a while and I think it's going very well

Re: Your wedding?
I totally know whay you mean. Its everything I want, but its 's not what I thought I wanted.
I was originally thinking 60 people in a restaruant, now we have about 90 at the the Milleridge, with cake floers, bridedmaids, 2 photographers, a band & everything.

Re: Your wedding?
To be honest.....it is going a whole lot easier and better than I planned. I am also finding that you can get a good vendor without paying a fortune, which is a surprise to me as well. In the end, hopefully, all for the better!

Re: Your wedding?
it is actually going to be much better than i ever dreamed it would be, I honestly can say its all because of Chateau La Mer when we booked almost 2 yrs ago it was right before construction so we got a great deal, they have very reasonable prices anyway, so now the place is all renovated and GORGEOUS and because of the great deal we got there we could add so many extras to make the wedding great, so many times the budget is blown on the Recepion so you have to skimp every where else, we didnt have to do that, I love CLM

Re: Your wedding?
I guess different than I had always imagined. Honestly I had a place picked out on the water upstate where I grew up, which was always where I had imagined getting married...When my dad who lives up there was not supportive of the whole thing, I decided to have it down here. I picked a place a love, which fit my two criteria--one wedding at a time and on the water....My MOH has turned out to be a disappointment--I rarely even talk to her now, and I think she is more jealous of the wedding than anything... I made everything much more difficult for myself I think by looking so long for the best vendors...On here with reviews, BBB, etc....And I bought my dress so early I wound up second guessing the decision because I changed my mind about what type of dress I wanted (word of advice--TAKE PICS OF YOU IN YOUR DRESS AND LOOK AT THEM!! Re: Your wedding?
My wedding is NOTHING I expected it to be! I always thought of a big ball down, lots of white and crystals. Green BM’s dresses.. purple accents and cute dragon accents in pewter.
Never would have dreamed I’d be in an Asian Inspired wedding!
I love it! I love the fact that all my preconceptions have gone right out the window. Everything has been done by instinct, gut feelings and random chance/luck. I am loving the outcome. I am the kind of girl who has always lived on the edge and god knows I’ve been tossed around a LOT in my life by unexpected things. My wedding is no different. Which makes it my perfect wedding. As unconventional, unique and memorable as I am ! hehe
And just like my life, nothing in my wedding is going the way I want exactly, but everything is coming out to be something I can live with and be happy.

SOOOOO true! I was a BM in a wedding with tulle dresses. Oh how we loved those dresses... until we saw our pics... we looked like a bunch of poufy purple cows!!
Anyway, to answer your question... yes, actually, surprisingly enough my wedding is pretty much turning out the way I always pictured it except for maybe some minor details like the limos/limo arrangements (FH picked this), entrance choreography (or lackthereof), and the favors...
Otherwise, my gown is almost exactly what I pictured, the BM gowns, the hall is pretty close, the flowers...

I feel the same way. Granted the dress I wanted is what I'm getting but I never expected to look the way I do in it - or feel the way I do. As far as all the details - I had some expectations and ideas - all of which have changed for the better and I do like how things are coming together.

Re: Your wedding?
Everything is turning out great. My vendors are wonderful!!! The only thing I would change is the amount of people coming to the wedding. It would have been nice to have 200 people, but we are currently up to 250. Doing the seating chart was a serious task, but we did it. 38 days to go and counting!!!

Yes! It was indeed everything that I've planned/dreamed and more. It truly was the HAPPIEST day of our lives!
