Your wedding date!

Future brides, do not plan your wedding date around anyone or change it for anyone!!
I am currently planning my sister's bridal shower. Our SIL and one of her best friends are both preggo. I planned her shower around their due dates so they can come. Her fiance requested to have the shower after his exam and also after his sister's arrival from overseas. The shower is next Saturday and I just got news that her best friend's father passed away and cannot make it. I totally understand if she doesn't come.
I just want to say, there will always be something. Don't plan around anyone. I should've had the shower last month!! Lesson learned.

I'm so sorry to hear that but it's so true you def can not get all your things done when you plan things to accommodate everyone's needs (except if it's an emergency or certain circumstances), almost all plans never turn out the way you expect. In this case, the best thing to do is gather relatives, friends, and family members who can attend. If you have to extend the invite to co-workers and so forth, the merrier. At this point, you already planned and put so much work into your sister's shower so surprise her with people who can attend and still have a blast! Under those circumstances regarding her friends, it is unfortunate that they will not be able to attend and be there for her. However, it is understandable given their situation. Just make the best of it and do what you can. Either way I'm sure your sister will appreciate your efforts.
