Re: your WORST Subway experience
I went to the subway series game in 2001 and it was also the same day as the Puerto Rican day parade. In a nutshell:1)It was over 90 degrees that day
2)The train was more packed than I have ever seen (and I take the D train to work every day, so I see what it is normally like)
3)I had to stand with my face like 2 inches from some guys smelly, hairy armpit!!

Re: your WORST Subway experience
eww!heres mine:
alittle background info: im a petite little white chick, who was stupidily wearing a skirt that night.
so, i was coming home from work about 10pm.... to none other than Bed-Sty area of BRooklyn (the realtor called it 'clinton hills') anyway, so I was on the 'G'' train (G is for ghetto) and there were a few people in the car. (Another stupid thing was i was in the last car) So.. there was a homeless man and so i gave him money... thats when i noticed the guy across from me... it looked like he was kinda tossing change up in the air a tiny bit and catching it, tossing it catching it... i was thinking 'thats kinda rude! flaunting his change in front of the homeless guy' yeah, the homeless guy wasnt looking at the jerk.. thats when i actually saw what he was doing!!!
needless to say he had his 'member' out of his pants and was having some fun. i gave him a nasty look but i was pertrified... i couldnt move BECAUSE the next stop was mine and we were by the front doors of teh last car RIGHT where my stairs were and if i wouldve gone further back he couldve cut me off and 'got' me... so when my stop came i had to get out RIGHT next to him. i had to sit there knmowing what he was doing until my stop came up.WORST thing ever.

Re: your WORST Subway experience
Umm.. I've had something similar happen. One day I was wearing a smei low cut top and a skirt. It wa a sturday at maybe 4pm. Firts there was this guy who would not stop staring at my set, so i closed my jacket. THEn he got off and another guy got on and eh wa staring at me stroking himself. I've also had guys brush themselves on me in a crowded train. but that's SO rare. I rode the train everyday for 4 years in HS. That's thouseands of subway rides, very few incidents.

Re: your WORST Subway experience
My wrost experience was this homeless man, I think, sat next to me. He had this horrible I mean horrible smell, he starred at me and my engagement ring the whole 5 stops. Then he got off at my stop and I thought he was following me, luckely I sped away fast. If I sense a person is nuts or weird on the train I make absolutely no eye contact and I try to pretend that are not even there.

i usually spin my engagement ring around on the trains... i had a HORRIBLE smelling guy once too. im so dumb im lie 'Yay, empty seats!' then i got knocked out by the smell, but i didnt want to leave cuz i didnt want to make him feeel bad. the worst part was my dog was with me and kept like sniffing the air to smell the guy. i was alittle embarressed.

Re: your WORST Subway experience
I ahd a weird experience recently actually. Me and FH were ona crowded train ona saturday. We were sitting across from 4 asian kids. They had to be under 15. One of them had an MP3 player. these 4 guys, much older and much bigger get on and start harassing these kids. They start making racist comments and the guy tries to chake the guys hand that has the mp3 player in it and the kid puls his hand back and (stupidly, IMO) gives this older kid the finger. the trainw as FULL and no one did or said anything. I wanted to do something, but I was kind of afraid for myself, as wa I guess everyone else. Our stop was next so we trold the conductor about it and I hope they were able to do something.

Re: your WORST Subway experience
I had a subway stalker...he would follow me every day from my house to the bus and then onto the train. Yep...he actually lived across the street from me...I never realized it at first because he was a familiar face...until one day on the train I noticed that he was STARING at me...and it wasn't normal...this was kind of frightening...The next day I was waiting on the platform and he was standing nearby...I decided to walk down the platform to get away from him...he FOLLOWED me...I got so scared, I screamed at him...next day, same thing...I actually had the guy arrested and I obtained an order of protection...
I also fell down an entire flight of subway stairs...THREE DIFFERENT TIMES!!!! It's amazing how I've never broken any bones...

Re: your WORST Subway experience
I've had a ton (some crazy woman started screaming at the top of her lungs at me for no apparent reason; some guy kept making obscene gestures at me and it was only he and I in the car) but this one happened to my friend's mom in the 70's. She was on a crowded subway (the kind where you're literally pressed up against people) when she felt something wet on her back. Um, the guy behind her had just 'finished' his business all over her!!!!!!! When she looked up at him he just gave her a disgusting grin.

Re: your WORST Subway experience
Gosh - I have so many stories- lol.I too had a subway stalker. The guy use to walk my way to the train (he would actually run until he caught up with me) and take the same trains as I did - even when I would change my transfer route. I think there was something wrong with him (slow or something) but I wasn't scared of him because he was about half my size. He use to sit across from me stare the whole time and then when I transferred he made sure to stand close and keep staring. One day a man I did not know turned to me and said miss will you please trade spots with me because I feel really bad about the man staring at you. One day I travelled with my ex-bf (who was 6'8') and he just started at the crazy the whole way and after that he kind of left me alone.
I had a subway station cleaner get very close to me and say some nasty things to me. I freaked out on him - I told him I was going to get him fired - I work in the office of the cleaning company that employees him!!!! It bothered me so much I did mention it to the secretary of his big, big boss (who called his direct boss right away) - for me it was like who else could he be doing this too - and could definitely put the company at risk.
The grossest was a man rubbing his stuff on me. I was so turned off and felt so dirty the whole day.
My most funny experience was a very good looking guy gets on the train. As I get off he is getting off the same stop and starts talking to me and invites me as a date to a party that he is throwing (it was a big posh NYC thing) and told me I can even bring friends and he gives me his card. He was really nice too. So I had just kind of entered the more serious stage with DH like a week before this. So I took his card and said to myself - oh he would be so perfect for my friend. I never called. The next month he was featured in Cosmo as one of NYC's most eligible bachelors!! He was a model and some kind of model promoter and all this stuff - so I can tease DH that I turned down Cosmo's most eligible bachelor for him!!!

Re: your WORST Subway experience
I was on the subway once and it suddenly came to a screeching halt! Everyone went flying and this little chinese guy falls on me (I was leaning against the door, my back was against the door). He was so short that his head landed in my chest. So everyone immediately is pulling themselves together apologizing to everyone (everyone went flying). However, this little man likes where he ended up. He didn't make any attempt to get up or move!!
After about 30 seconds I had to say, EXCUSE ME and physically push him off me! He was like oh I am sorry..........

Re: your WORST Subway experience
Some guy did his deed right in front of me. And the worst part, if that isn't enough, was that he kept looking at me and motioning to his crotch with a YES motion. Like 'Look at this baby! How could you resist me!'

Re: your WORST Subway experience
Aside from people not using deodrant and the homeless people on the train my worst experience was when a fight broke out on the train and they someone pulled the emergency brake. They locked all the doors and we had to wait for the police to come and they took a statement from everyone in the car.

Re: your WORST Subway experience
Every day on the A train seems to be an adventure. Once there was this homeless man sitting in the corner (the 2 seater) and he took out his thing out and started peeing in a milk carton. There are more but this is the WORST and most disgusting!

Better than peeing in a carton, I was on the 1 train heading downtown and a homeless man was sleeping on a few seats and he stuck his butt off the seat and pee'd on the floor!!!!
I also had a stalker who followed me from my LIRR train to my subway to my office building (he worked there too).
He just started talking to me and going on and on. He was always standing waiting for me on the platform. Creepy.
I think I have worse LIRR stories, though...
