Do you plan on wearing it for the reception as well? I'm planning on getting a cathedral veil so I don't know if I want to wear it al night at the reception it might get in the way.

I'm not. I'm going to be wearing it for the ceremony and then for some pics and then switch to just a flower in my hair for some more pics and then the remainder of the reception

Have you thought about maybe getting another veil that's shorter? My sister did that for her wedding.
I'm still uncertain if I'm going to wear my veil for my reception. It's pretty short (elbow length) so it should be ok..

I did think of a shorter veil but I absolutely love cathedral veils..im a crazy! =(

Well how about getting one just for the reception?
Keep your cathedral veil for the ceremony and pics and then for the reception, put on the shorter one!!!

I have a cathedral veil and a blusher....... the cathedral part is velcro... so i will take that off after some pictures and just leave the blusher on all night.

i got a cathedral veil-- and it actually 'bustles' up to a shorter veil-- but i plan on taking it off at the reception hall

i want to wear mine all night.....i just think its really my only chance to wear a veil (mine is fingertip lenth though)
ive heard of detatchable cathedral veils that after the ceremony u take off the cathedral part to like an elbow length

My friend had a gorgeous cathedral length veil that she wore when they arrived at the cocktail hour.... and with in 5 minutes, someone stepped on it and then someone spilled a drink on it... She took it off immediately.
As gorgeous as they are, in a room full of people it may be crushed...
