Zap Shots w/ Poll

Did you or are you having Zap Shots at your wedding reception?

If you have had them or have been to a wedding that had them what did you think?

Is it cheesy?

they can also be called digital pictures, where they are taken at the ceremony and reception and shown on a screen or plasma at the reception.....

ETA: to answer the original question, if they were done properly, then yes, I would do them, but I would have to see how they are done first. I work for a DJ so I have a chip on my shoulder about other DJs

The zap shot photographers walked during the cocktail hour and reception with digital cameras and recorded the party as it was happening, and then put the pictures up on 2 large screens on either side of the DJ booth once the reception starts. They take pictures throughout the whole reception and show them on the screens. It fills time if you are having a photo montage and have nothing to put on the screens the rest of the time. Then get all the pictures on a DVD set to music.

This is a separate service and not affiliated with my band or photographer.

Now that I know what they are I can give you my honest opinion. I do not like anything like that...no slide shows, no candid shots up on a screen, no similcast. I cant stand any of it...but this is JMHO.

i dont know how i feel of showing pics that were just taken - however - people like to see themselves- so the guests may find it entertaining

They did it at WOTY. At WOTY it was fun b/c it wasn';t a real wedding. I think for a bar mitzvah or something it would be a lot of fun. As for my wedding, absolutely not!

I do not think it is cheesey at all, any wedding I have been to that has had it, people have loved it. It is very different and hi tech (and more money!:)
