Does anyone know any places in Suffolk that offer Zumba or other workout classes and how much they are??? My gym doesn't really offer classes,

my gym offers zumba. i actually took the class tonight. they also have a bunch of other classes. my gym is in center moriches

I have a membership to Ballys but someone else recommended Lucille. How much is your monthly membership if you don't mind me asking??

It's around $14 per month I think. If I remember correctly I paid around $350 for 2 years for the gold membership which allows me to go to different locations and go to special classes.

I go to Lucille Roberts (in Manhattan) and they offer Zumba (never been, but I just might try it )

hi melissa :) I know we had this convo already but I thought I'd share with the girls.
Dance Dynamics on Jericho turnpike by sheridan bowling has Zumba on Tuesdays at 8pm. AMAZING!!!! and its $10 a class
Also Wednesday nights at Big Al's family fitness off old country road in hicksville at 7:30pm with the same instructor. $15.
I go tuesday nights but mite start going wednesdays as well (prob every other week)

Bodies FX in East Islip is very small, its personal training and classes only.
Membership costs for the exercise classes vary on what plan you get but range from $25 per month (if you go with a 12 month plan) to $48 a month for one month at a time.
Or you can get 10 classes for $120 that you can use at any time.
Your first class is free so you can go check it out.
They have zumba Sundays and Thursday and tons of other classes.
i used to take Jazzercise in Commack. That was pretty good. Check out this website...here are the locations.

LA fitness in lake grove has a lot of classes, the latin impact class is actually taught by someone who teaches zumba, so it's prob very similar but they don't call it that for copyright i'm assuming. They also have kickboxing, yoga, pilates, step, strength classes, combined cardio and strength classes, and cycling, oh and a pool (which I've never used). It's not the cheapest gym but it's pretty nice and new and big. Lots of cardio equipment.

Bet You Can Dance in East Northport has Zumba classes, and they hold classes every day, sometimes morning and sometimes evening. It's $10 a pop if you come as a walk-in, or you can pay $100 for a 10 class package, and then you get the 11th free. I've never gone, but we're going to the studio for our first dance lessons and I like it there a lot. It's new and clean and pretty conveniently located.

my gym does it... its right on the nassau suffolk border... prob too far, but just in case its LI Fitness in Massapequa and the gym membership is only $25/mth. the gym is beautiftul, huge and very clean and the room for the classes is big too!

My aunt just started doing Zumba yesterday cause my cousin in Cali does DPX or something and she lost a ton of weight... i am going to look to do this myself...

the dance studio I teach at offeres SUMBA classes, which I know are different, but its SUCH a workout! classes are thursday nights from 8:30-9:30 in deer park. The women in there BEG for breaks after 15 minutes because they're working out sooooo much! I keep promising I'll try it (I teach the hour before) but when I watch, I sweat just watching them!
we also offer pilates on wednesdays.
also, the other studio I teach at in massapequa has two work out classes, tuesday and thursday nights.. but its more into using weights and doing sit-ups. its not all that fun.

My Aunt just emailed me about the Zumba class she found
at B'way dance academy on Merrick rd. (by the 7-11). The class was for 1 hr., all you have to do is reserve a spot and show up, it's $10 a class and you pay for each class as you go - very easy
