1st Dance song...not so slow?

Ok so I am debating between 2 different 1st dance songs. The one I really loooovvveeee is not that slow and romantic...but I feel like the words are very US.

If you are into R&B then you may know it. It's Miguel-Sure thing

I feel like the 1st dance should be slow and romantic and emotional...and I feel like i may not get that from that song choice. My other option I was thinking about was Jagged Edge - Gotta Be.

Is anyone else's 1st dance not a super slow song?

my dance is not super slow...its dave matthews - you and me

i have no idea how FH and i will dance to it but we figure we will just have fun with it. we dont really care if we look like fools bc the song has meaning to us and we will be enjoying ourselves.
we did consider a slower song but then you just sway anyway (we refuse to take dance lessons) so we may as well have fun with it!

IMO, i would go with whatever has more sentimental meaning to you...

Our original song was I'm yours by jason mraz. We felt it would be hard to dance to do now we are using Dave Mathews You and Me. Still not supe slow but its nice.

FH and I love that song!! We are trying to use it in the wedding as well so maybe as the last dance song. I wanted something a little more traditional for our first dance but that could definitely work if you like it.

I think that would be better as a cake cutting song. Or maybe you can start with the Jagged Edge song and go into the Miguel song in the first dance. I was thinking about doing this as well and the second song would be Keshia Cole Take Me Away. It is so difficult to choose songs and I have been putting this off.

I think that would be better as a cake cutting song. Or maybe you can start with the Jagged Edge song and go into the Miguel song in the first dance. I know its so hard!!!

He hasn't given me his suggestions yet..but waiting on those. I want a song that means something to both of us..and he had never heard Jagged Edge Gotta be before, even though he liked it. lol. So if he doesnt come up with anything worthwhile then it's up to me

we are dancing to me and you by kenney chesney. i ts slow and romantic so we won't have a problem dancing to it.
IMO a first dance should be slower and reflect some feeling which a faster song, again JMO would not be able to capture

I looooove 'Sure Thing', it is currently one of my fav songs. Its not that fast and wouldnt be too hard to dance to....the only thing is the song has the word 'blunt' in it, which I dont find too romantic, BUT maybe nobody will notice lol.

Yea it's not really fast just more of a groove to it. Yea I don't think most will notice that word. Lol.
