'After Party?'

So after reading a few posts on the hotel block question, I saw a lot of people plan on bringing the party somewhere else after the reception. I kind of feel like I'll just want to leave and be with my husband after the wedding rather than party more. Our wedding will be ending at around 12ish, which isn't late, but that's a LONG day for us!
Anyone else not doing a little after party kind of thing? Opinions?

Re: 'After Party?'

We chose to do one since a lot of our guests are coming out from the city and staying at the hotel with us. We're also pretty big partiers, so even though we'll probably be exhausted after the wedding - we'll want to hang to prolong the night.

Re: 'After Party?'

We probably won't be doing one either, although if it was up to FH we will because he likes to keep the party going. I guess we'll see what happens as the day gets closer.

Re: 'After Party?'

Our wedding ends at 6pm and we will be going back to the hotel where there will be plenty of OOT guests staying however, we weren't planning on having an after party because FH & I want to be alone!! We are going to have a really early morning and a FULL day and can only imagine being drunk and exhausted haha!

We also don't want to have to pay for another place to have the after party.

We may inquire with the hotel bar but we haven't decided 100% yet..

Re: 'After Party?'

We're gonna see if Danford's will keep the bar open for us for when we and everybody else staying there gets back and if they will, we'll probably hang out there until we're exhausted, just to give people something to do if they don't want to go to bed. I don't anticipate us being able to stay up for long after the wedding anyway!

Re: 'After Party?'

The Fox Hollow has a bar in their hotel so whoever is staying over can go to the bar after the wedding but they would be paying for their own drinks. FH doesn't want to drink during the wedding so he wants to drink at the bar after with everyone.

Re: 'After Party?'

Our wedding ends at 12:30am and we also felt like it will be a long enough day without the afterparty. We're also having a breakfast the next day for our families and OOT guests, so we'll need some sleep before that. :)

We are doing this. No drinking (maybe just one or two during wedding. Then drinking at the 'after party' at the hotel bar!

This. Our reception ends at 12 and we're not doing an after party but are also going to see about a breakfast for OOT guests. 2 of my FSIL's did this and it was nice to have some more time with family before everyone started heading out.

Re: 'After Party?'

our wedding ends at 12am and we will have afterparty in another room at the venue until 1pm. Open bar and late night snacks - I'm thinking cookies and milk, hot pretzels, popcorn bar etc. We are also doing a breakfast the following morning for all of our guests staying in the hotel

Re: 'After Party?'

Our party ends at 12 and the venue offers an additional after party which would be until 1 in a different room which includes a dj, bar food, open bar, cigars. At first we were like yeah!!!! Now we are second guessing it. I don't know if alot of people will stay even though its a Saturday night. I don't want it to be 10 people in a room with a bunch of food lol

Re: 'After Party?'

Our venue has a pub upstairs which we can have for 2 hours. Our wedding is over in the reception room at 11:30. They will staff us a bartender for a cash bar for 2 hours after. the guest staying in the hotel have a shuttle from the venue so thats our plan. who knows how long we will be able to stay up.

Re: 'After Party?'

My wedding ends at 6pm as well and my mom is already planning to continue the party at her house. She heard the RH manager mention that they will give us the left over food so she is planning to serve that! Crazy, I know! I would rather spend the rest of the day with my FH but once he heard the word after party, he got excited. So it looks like we are having one.
