Altar Server tips

How much each do you tip the altar servers for a ceremony? Who provides the tip for that...the groom or best man?

I would say between $10 and $20. I may tip more because I plan on asking a few of the kids from the school I teach at to do it for me. The best man will probably give it to alter servers.

In my experience, the best man takes care of giving the servers the tip. We will be giving FBIL (the best man) those envelopes to take care of for us that day.

As far as how much....as a former altar server myself I'm tipping generously...like $20 a piece. Only because these are young kids giving up their Friday or Saturday to help at your wedding. And I remember how awesome it was to get some cash at those things (some couples didn't tip at all!)

I would say if there are two, $10 each is fair. But in all honesty, I was always so happy just to get anything lol
