Any Outdoor Restaurant for Engagement Party?

Hi everyone,
This is my first post regarding my wedding process!
The wedding is planned for 7/14 and I will be visiting venues this week. I wanted to have an engagement party on Sunday 5/26 Memorial day weekend at my mom's house. I would like a BBQ theme and just a good time with family and friends. My fiancé and mother however feel that we do not have the space and it will be very costly renting a tent, tables etc. Is there any restaurant on Long Island that would provide an outdoor space for 65 people that can just cater BBQ style food? I am considering doing it at Eisenhower Park, but I am not sure if others will approve of that idea. I would have looked into places on the Mile or Long Beach but who knows what their status is now :( I feel I need to book soon since it's a busy weekend for people/restaurants. Any info is appreciated .

I used to live in Long Beach. I haven't been there since the hurricane, but look into Swing Bellys. They were an awesome BBQ place with outdoor picnic tables- sounds like what you're looking for!

I'm looking for the same thing and not finding much luck! I'm currently looking at Nassau parks and getting BBQ catered but mother nature has me worried!

Last I heard Swingbellys was still closed, but maybe contact them to see when they are planning to reopen (I would think a lot of places are looking to have a Memorial Day opening. Pop's in Island Park has a nice outdoor area. Maybe you can also look into using the BBQ area at Lido or Nickerson Beach and bring in catered food.

How about Belmont State park? They always have picnics there and they have grills. They also have a lake where you can rent a boat or paddle boat and a playground. The bathrooms are in a building so no port a potties and the ice cream man is always there. C & J Meat Center in WB will come and BBQ for you and I believe Franks Deli in WB also does that.
