any wedding hair regrets?

Did any of you go too far from your natural look that you regret it at all OR were you maybe too safe and wish you did something a little different?

I'm going on a second hair trial because I am torn between my of my natural look (with a little more va voom ) which is the Claire Danes shot or a curly non-me with the Eva Longoria shot (all my hair would be to one side because all down makes me look like it's my sweet sixteen and not my wedding )

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

I had no regrets!

I also didn't decide on my hair till like 10 days before the wedding.

EIther style you do will look gorgeous, I truly don't think you can go wrong with either.

Just make sure you take the weather into consideration-I am so glad I had hair up because in between our church and reception it was raining like a monsoon.

OMGGGGGGGG You're a month away!!

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

No regrets at all for me. My advice would be not to worry too much how you think you'll feel when you look back. Focus on which style makes you feel the most beautiful and the most like a bride. Either way you'll be gorgeous! And you know M*I*A will do an awesome job!!!!! Post pics of the second trial if you can!

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

I regret wearing my hair all down. I wore it down & curly with a headband/veil. It would have been fine, but we were outside several times in the heavy snow taking pictures. Due to that my hair got really flat, and I hate how it looked during some of the reception. I am glad we got those amazing pictures though. If we hadn't been outside so many times it would have stayed fine. I couldn't predict the weather. Going back I think even if it had been up, it prob would have looked bad after all that snow. I say go with your gut, and whatever you want. You will never know until after. Does that makes sense? I regret it, but prob would do it again!

I actually brought that first picture to my first trial! I have no hair regrets because I went with my gut. I thought my first trial was pretty, but too much, and not ME enough. (more like your second photo) I would only advise you to go with your gut, your vision, and something that looks like a fancier version of everyday you. I am so happy that I went with something that was not too much of a departure from my everyday look. I got compliments that people liked that I kept it simple with my hair. I was very happy too. Remember the rule of thumb that less moving parts, the less stress the day of :) Good luck!!

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

I have no regret with my style, I loved it. The only problem was my hair kept falling out. I'm so afraid to get my professional pictures back to see what had become of my hair. I know that for my first dance, my hair was a little bit of a mess in the back..

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

I had no hair regrets -- I decided last minute that I wanted it all the way up, never even had a full updo trial. My hair stayed in fine for almost all of the night, until the very end (and boy was it looking tired by then!) My *only* wish is that I had less side bangs combed across, and I wish that someone would have told me that they were starting to fall out towards the end of the night.

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

Yes I regret my hair on the day of my wedding....

All the curls fell out and the stylist was adamant about 'anchoring' my veil in my hair which i think the veil made it fluffy and frizzy. I hate looking at some of my pictures. Makes me so mad that it just came out. I will say the weather played a role in it-BUT still, I just hate looking at our reception pics. It's so stringy and gross looking.

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

I have NO regrets and LOVED my hair. I have very thick curly hair. I always straighten it and it's prone to frizz. No matter who does my hair, it never ever stays. Well, Jenn did an AMAZING job and my hair stayed put all day and looked amazing. So, no regrets there!

Re: any wedding hair regrets?

I have no hair regrets. I loved my hair style!!

The only thing I will say... something happened to my hair.... I think from being under the veil for a while... and then throughout the course of the night... it got really knotted!!! towards the very end of the night I was asking people if my hair looked frizzy because I could feel it knotting up, but everyone said it was fine.

I couldn't put a brush to it. Allegra tried soo hard to comb it out at like 3 am... and it was soo painful. My hair just became like one huge knot. the ONLY way I could get it out was by glumping conditioner and taking a wide tooth comb to in in the shower (before even shampooing it). It was like having dread locks!! GGRRR!!! I probably lost a lot of hair through that painful process.

I love that claire danes hairstyle. Its hard for me to say if you should curl it or not because IDK what the side sweep style you want looks like.
If I had to pick one right now... id say to curl it... because this way if the curls fall out it will still have the volume you talked about... where as if you start with volume and no curl and it falls... it will just fall flat. KWIM?
