BE AWARE - Savage Men is Hunk-o-mania!

I'm SO PISSED.

My MOH booked Savage Men, trying to avoid Hunk-o-mania, since we'd both only heard horrible things about Hunk-o-mania. And the website listed Savage Men at a different club, so we thought - okay, might be okay, whatever.

Then yesterday my MOH gets a call from the Savage Men people - they're MOVING VENUES because of a sound problem. AND GUESS WHERE THEY'RE MOVING IT TO??

That's right, Hunk-o-mania's location! Same Time, Same Place! Checked it out on their website!

So my MOH called and they finally admitted to her that it was the same show. they even mentioned a show in Staten Island 'Where the guys were much better'! Can you believe that! So she's getting a refund of the money spent so far. We're trying to see if we can do Mantasia, which seems to be much classier.

As for All American Male Revue, someone else on theknot told me it was also the same thing as Hunk-o-mania, so stay away from them too (if you want to avoid Hunk-o-mania, which we did).

I haven't been to Hunkamania, but friends have and they loved it. Just thought you'd want to know.

I guess I'm just really upset that they lied so baldfaced! The Savage Men website never mentions Hunk-o-mania, lists a completely different nightclub, different dancers, supposedly different criteria, and then called my MOH with a LIE to get her over to their show! That's what pisses me off. I think I'm gonna file a complaint with the BBB, or have my MOH do it, cause that's false advertising.

I would feel the same way. It never feels good to be decieved and that's what they did. They should be giving you free tickets to Hunkamania.

is this where they are sending the Savage Men ticket holders? and basically its all a lie???

could u tell me why you did not want Hunk O Mania? did u hear bad things? before its to late i can see if i can cancel???

Yes, that is EXACTLY where they told my MOH to send us. Email she sent me this morning:

'I was called last night by the Savage Men joint and apparently they had to have a change of venue for sound system problems. The joint is on the Upper West side - 246 Columbus Ave between 71st & 72nd.'

My MOH is friends with a DJ at a female strip club, and when she asked him what there was, he said he only knew of Hunk-o-mania and it wasn't that good. Also, one of her friends really didn't like it either.

And I asked on theknot - some people liked it, some didn't. We decided to try and go with something else.

I don't know if Hunkmania and Hunk-o-mania are the same thing. They both have disclaimers on their websites saying they're not, but I don't trust either now.

If you can do Mantasia do so, what a damn blast, it was so great and mroe than we expected. Nothing cheesy, jsut straight up beautiful men, giveing massages and dances not raunchy and they go along waqy to make a bride feel liek its her night

Sorry to hear that, I told my MOH Mantasia or nothing at all....I got free tickets for tomorrow night's Donkey Show I want to check them out as well....
