Best (inexpensive) places to have an engagement party?
We are looking for a pretty small hall or restaurant to have our e-party. Manhattan, LongIsland and Queens are all possibilities. We are having about 70-80 ppl. We will have a dj, also. Keeping my fingers crossed.thanks

In Oceanside you can try Knights of Colombus and in West Hempstead Pompeii is good. Both have great food.

Hi,Tivoli Terrace in Westbury... I had same problem in looking for a place.
Its family owned.. which is great. they were willing to work on the rates and are very accommodating.
(i was able to get children free, they added children meals with no charge, added glatt kosher meals at no charge.. In total for what i needed it was approx. $40 p/p..Food/Drinks/Cake )
Here is their website.. http://www.tivolicaterers.com/
the pics on the site are not all that great, but just set up an appointment talk to the owner and look at the place. Its actually very pretty.

There are a ton of nice places in Long Beach that would probably work. Good luck

We had ours at the American Legion in Seaford - they charged us 500 for the rental (we had about 100 people) and they have an option for open bar ($8/adult & $5/kid) or just Beer Wine Soda (I don't know the $$ on that), a kitchen with an oven and big fridge, it has a big dance floor and the room's shape is an 'L' so you have a separate area to set up food and stuff - FM me if you want anymore information.

we had ours in a KOC in Ozone Park with about 100 people, DJ and catered food. We decorated it, ordered nice tablecloths and it cost us under $2,000 for everything. We had the best time tooWelcome New Vendors
