Here is a link to find a church is your area. I am not sure, but I don't think a priest will marry you outside because it is not recognized as a true ceremony if not performed inside the Catholic Church.Anyway here is the link

If you like the cathedral look, St. Patrick's in Baysore is beautiful!!!! I actually got married there this past September.I believe MayDay16 is correct that a priest will not marry you outside the church.

Re: Catholic Churches in Suffolk county
Thank you for all your responses.
I had a feeling that yep ..they will not marry you outside the curch. We are just having a dilemma right now cause we do not belong in a parish in Suffok cause I didn't grow in New York and my FH have been living in the city for 10 years now. His parent's just moved in Suffolk 5 years ago.
I guess we just have to keep searching and we prolly would have to book a catering hall first and then look for the nearest church there.
Thanks again

Re: Catholic Churches in Suffolk county
I've found that most Catholic churches in my area are not so willing to marry anyone who is not a member of their parish inside of their church, let alone outside!! Infant Jesus in Port Jefferson is beautiful but they told us absolutely not (we are not a member of their parish).St. John the Baptist in Wading River has been wonderful!!! I am not a member of their church, but Deacon Fred was so warm and welcoming, plus my brother (who is not a member of the parish either) was just married there. Our Lady of Ostrabrama in Peconic is also very accomodating (according to my catering hall).
Also, not sure if this might help, but there used to be a very young, very forward thinking priest in my home parish and he was transferred to Greenport. His name is Father Tom, not sure which church exactly, but I'm sure there's only one Catholic church in Greenport. He may be willing to marry you outside the church. It's worth a try.
One last note...there are usually ads for clergy in the back of brides' magazines. I know I've seen one for Catholic priests who are willing to come to you, either in a church or an outdoor ceremony.
Good luck! I know how stressful the church part is!

St Anthonys in East Northport is beautiful and our preist is Father OFarrell. You could try to call the rectory and ask them what they can do for you if anything or if they have any suggestions. 261 1077 Goode luck. What about the church in your town that your in now. You are part of that Parish now or you can be.
