Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
Hi - I'm brand new to this web site and getting married at Chateau La Mer in May. I have been looking around this web site and have seen sooo many people quoting Chateau La Mer prices per head iin the $80 range. Is this really true? I am just wondering what the prices there really are b/c I am getting married on a Saturday night in May and they quoted us $150 per head for full open bar, venetian hour, and full cocktail hour. I wanted a different place to get married in because I have a large family and we've had weddings at practically every hall on LI aside from this one.... I just hope I'm not getting ripped off.. :(

Re: Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
Thanks! You are so sweet! I am really getting soooo nervous when I read other posts about it on here!! Is there any way to re-negotiate price per head if I found out we were screwed? i only paid the deposit so far.I wish we had a better story lol! We met at Posh at the Garden City hotel on 2.2.07 and have been together every since! He asked me to marry him on 6.4.10 two days before my birthday when I was pretty drunk in Freeport! lol! I hope u have a better story than that :)

Re: Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
Thanks! That is somewhat reassuring.. I just wish I looked at a few more places before I booked. I looked at places in New Rochelle and hated them all (too far away) and fell in love with CLM immediately. I hope they didn't act on how much I liked the place!

Re: Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
It also depends on which room you are in. The main room is more than the upstairs room.Saturday nights are always the most and May is 'prime time'. I don't remember what they quoted us but it was high and we would have been upstairs.

Re: Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
We got married on a Friday night in the larger room downstairs for 95pp. We didn't have the Viennese hour so on a Saturday night with all of that I would say that sounds about right! We LOVED it there though!

Re: Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
This is for the main room. I am just so nervous about it. The room holds 300 people and we have approx. 270 b/c were inviting 290! The dance floor looks really small and I've never seen the room filled for 250 people. I am a very confused bride to be!

Re: Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
Most people I heard were paying around 100 for a Saturday night.- haven't heard anything close to 150. Yours was 150 not including tax and tip? There is a 2011 bride changing her venue and is cancelling the CLM. See if her wedding was around yours might get a good deal.
Edited- b/c i wrote cancelling wedding-- i meant she is changing venues

Re: Chateau La Mer - Price Per head?
i checked out CLM and i got quoted for $80 for a friday night in November, $90 for saturday. but it's during the off season, that's probably why it was lower.Welcome New Vendors
