Colored shoes or white/ivory shoes

Good evening ladies,

Hope everyone is having fun and enjoying their wedding planning. I have a question for you. My wedding dress is a strapless, somewhat sweetheart, mermaid elegant and classy dress. Now I found two shoes that I am interested on wearing for the big day. However, my maid of honor has proposed a question. Would I be interested in wearing a purple shoe? I was very lucky to find a beautiful dress from David's Bridal for my girls. Lapis is the color since my colors are purple and silver.

Now I have seen a few pics of a wedding dress with purple shoes I am just afraid it will take away from the dress although no one will see my shoes unless I lift my dress. Curious to hear your opinion.

I'm doing the same colors! I've debated the color shoe myself. I'm not sure how I will feel in 20 months about it bc it might be over done by then but since your getting married soon my vote is yes!

Lol. Congratulations!!!!! I'm still so undecided. I was even thinking maybe getting 2 shoes. One white and purple but now I'm just being silly. Lol. It's these little things that make the planning just a tad bit difficult.

That's my color purple also! I think the pop of color in the shoes is a fun touch, but I'm a bit more traditional and am going with white shoes. My purple will be all in my bouquet. You can do 2 pairs of shoes - ceremony in white and purple for the reception. There's nothing wrong with getting more shoes!

i really wanted and liked the purple shoe too but tradition got hte better of me ..my dress is more traditional and i am afarid i will look back at the pictures and say what was i thinking..just imo..i opted for a white with some bling!

I say go with the colored shoe! I'm wearing coral shoes and you won't be able to see them most of the time but when you do it will be just a touch of fun

I'm doing white for the ceremony and burgundy for the reception.

I plan on wearing teal shoe ( my bridesmaids dresses will be that color) and my bridesmaids in white shoes.

Colored shoes!! It's so much fun!! I'm usually a traditional girl but I wore colored shoes & did not regret it.

My dress is ivory. I'm 99% sure I'm getting my shoes dyed apple red to match my maids dresses.

Def colored! Mine were red with rhinestones & so much fun! It added that special pop for pictures, otherwise no body saw them. So makes no sense to wear white for ceremony and then switch as nobody sees your shoes when your walking down the isle anyway.

I personally love colored shoes. I am thinking of wearing navy shoes since my girls will be wearing navys dresses & I can count it as my 'something blue'

It is totally your choice. Whatever you think will look best or will be comfortable in. But personally, I am a fan of colored shoes. I am also wearing purple shoes with a peacock feather shoe pin (pic in my wedding stuff album) and I love it. I think it's a nice pop of color and a cute surprise when you lift your dress to see the color.

I bought dyeable shoes so I didn't have to make up my mind right away but I always thought the different color shoe was adorable!
