Davids Bridal-Blue Velvet.....

Has anyone ever purchased their BM dresses (or any dress) in Blue Velvet? The color has been described to me as 'royal blue' which is what i want but im afraid that it may look sorta purple. They didnt have a sample of the dress i want in that color so im not sure.

there is a serious lack of blue bridesmaid dresses that are not ice blue or navy. welcome to the club.

We ended up going with BL indigo but it has a purple cast to it. There are some other non DB blue dresses out there though.

Did they have any dress to show you in that color?

If not maybe call around to a few David's Bridal stores and see if they have that color in a dress that you can see- at the least you can see the color.

This is my absolute favorite color!! My sisters and bridesmaids will be wearing Blue Velvet from David's too. My sisters ordered their dresses a few weeks ago and there were plenty of dresses in that color at the DB store on Northern Blvd in Queens. There are some dresses, however, that are not available in that color.

I'll try attaching a pic for you of the exact color. It's not purplish in any way. It actually looks like cobalt blue glass.

My color is Blue velvet from David's bridal. I LOVE that color and it annoys me that they do not have a large variety like they do for the reds and yellows. The color is not purple at all. Its royal or cobalt as was mentioned. I love it and it works if your wedding is during the day or the evening. I just wish there was a larger selection. I hope you like the color because I happen to love it!
