Do you invite Readers to Rehearsal Dinner?

Our RD is tomorrow and FH is now asking me if we were supposed to invite Church Readers to the RD? What is everyone else doing? One of our readers in waaaay OOT so he def won't be there but the other one is local and we could invite her last minute (although we feel pretty dumb). Also, are you having them to the Church or just dinner? TIA!

we are inviting everyone that is directly involved with the actual wedding ceremony plus their dates (if they want to bring them), which is:

The BP
The parents
The Grandparents
Readers
People bringing up the gifts

we are also going to be inviting out OOT guests (which is basically all of FH's family members that are coming over from England/Ireland for the wedding).

Also as far as gifts go, we are giving gifts to everyone, but the readers/gift bringers are getting something very small.

We're not, just because one is OOT and the other lives pretty far away so it would be a waste to make that trek.

We're inviting readers - technically they're a part of the ceremony and need to know when to go to the altar, etc.

Yep because they will be at the rehearsal so they are invited to the dinner.

Absolutely. Anyone involved in the ceremony *should* be invited to the RD.

Thanks ladies, I don't know why this didn't occur to us! I haven't been really involved in many weddings so I'm not familiar with a lot of things. Oops! LOL

Yes. Our reader was DH's younger cousin so both parents and younger brother came as well.

yes we did... they kinda had to know what to do too... if they're wayyy oot and cant make it, then i guess they just can't. we invited our reader to come to the church and dinner

I am doing the first reading in a friends wedding in october and was invited for the rehearsal dinner :)

she explained that i need to know what to do and when to do it and since i live so close that i should come
