Does anyone else get car sick?

When i was a kid i used to get car sick all the time when i had to sick in the back. I kinda grew out of it except for when i would try to read or really concentrate my eyes on anything. Lately I have been getting car sick again while just going on short rides while riding in the backseat (doesnt seem to happen in the front much). I am afraid im going to get sick in the limo on the way to the hall. Has anyone else had this problem? Do those motion sickness pills work or will they make me really drowsy?

I dont know what to do and it will be aweful to feel like that on my wedding day. We have a good 45 minute to an hour trip to get to the hall from my house.

YES OMG I get car sick so bad!!! if i am in the back seat or in a van or reading.

I didnt even think of this!!!!!!

Maybe i will take some anti-car sick meds just incase!

ive only taken anti-sea sickness meds which didnt make me feel drowsy at all. maybe i'll test out the car ones

Honey I get EVERYTHING sick!!! It is SO awful and unfortunately, it's something that's been passed thru my maternal female line... so odds are good that if I have a daughter, she'll have it, too

I plan to pop a Xanax for my nerves on my wedding day, anyway, and supposedly that works even better for motion sickness/dizziness than those Dramamine type pills do! I also plan to warn my limo driver that I get sick and to drive nicely LOL!

I get car sick if I have to sit in the back but from my experiance none of the OTC things help...

What sea sick meds did you take? I forgot about my cruise... darn it..

i used to take Ginger since I saw on Myth Busters it works the best for motion sickness. i guess it worked but I cant remember cause it was years ago

i took Dramamine on my cruise and i felt fine!

Dramamine makes a non-drowsy pill. I thought about this for my sister... she gets very car sick and insists on driving EVERYWHERE.

Have you ever ridden in a limo before? If so, did you get car sick?

I so get sick on longs drives, I have to take Dramamine and it really helps.

I have a few times, and i never got sick.. But i also have been worse these past few months than I have been in a long time. I got the Hummer so im hopeing the size of it will make me feel like im not as closed in, but im worried it might be very bumpy at the back.

Bumpy rides are better than smooth rides when it comes to motion sickness... at least for me anyway. I would look into getting non-drowsy dramamine... it works wonders.

ETA: If you want to make sure it works, take some and then you and FH drive around (with you in the back seat) and see how you feel afterwards.

If I'm not the one driving, I get car sick. Granted it is usually on long trips, but I was fine in the limo. It actually never even occurred to me that i would feel car sick.

I think with all the excitement that day, you wont even think about it. Plus haivng a cocktail in the limo doesn't hurt :)

I get MAJOR car sick when I am in the back seat and especially if I try to read whether I am in the front or back. In the limo on the day of the wedding,,I was fine…make sure you and your DH sit facing the front of the limo – in the seats for 2 right as you go to get in the limo and sit next to the window and you should be ok. Truthfully the thought never crossed my mind about getting sick and you will have your DH and bridal party to talk to and keep your mind off of getting sick.
