favor and donation wording

My FH and I have both ran the NYC marathon for Livestrong and are making a donation and handing out bracelets in lil organza bags as the placecards.

We also want to do a candy bar at the end, but don't know how to word our statement. Its not really 'in lieu' if youre getting something else too!!

any suggestions or old posts you can send me?

Could you just say something like 'x amount has been donated to ______________'

We did:

To Our Family and Friends

We have chosen a special way to say thank you for sharing our wedding with us.

We have made a donation in your honor to the (we did American Cancer Society).

In loving memory of all of our family and friends that have been affected by this disease.

We also had the option of card sizing, so we did bookmarks which I use all of the time now with the leftovers!

this is what we did but you could change the in lieu of favors blah blah blah to something like 'we hope you enjoy your night knowing that you've made someone's life a little sweeter' to go along with the candy bar
