Jersey shore for bachelorette party???

just wondering:
has anyone been (or is anyone going) to the jersey shore for their bachelorette party (for the weekend)?? if so, where in jersey??

one of my bm's proposed this to me last night...not sure what the crowd is like...what bars/clubs (but not cheesy ones)...what hotels/motels are nice?

any advice would be appreciated....
thanks!

Re: Jersey shore for bachelorette party???

I won't be because most of my friends live in Queens, etc. but that's a fun idea! maybe you guys can go to a spa, and then out to the bars at night. I love going to Joe Pops, I think it is in Manahawkin or Beach Haven.

Re: Jersey shore for bachelorette party???

My MOH suggested it to me & I would rather do a low key weekend at the beach. Her sister has a place there that we may go stay at. Not sure where it is (Breezy Point?). There was a chance though that her sister may sell it so if so then I will ask my FIL's if we can go to the summer cottage that they have out east and stay there the weekend.

Re: Jersey shore for bachelorette party???

Clubs in the Jersey Shore...I'm not sure what type of nightlife you think is chessy but here's some info on the clubs.

Seaside Heights NJ has a strip of clubs such as Temps and Club XS. They mostly play the techno/club music and I feel like the crowd is around 21-25 years old.

Ortley Beach, NJ - Down the street from Seaside. The Surf Club is there and it can be a lot of fun but I haven't been there in a while and I always thought the best night was Sunday.

Point Pleasant, NJ - Has a lot of fun clubs which are outdoor and indoor. A good mix of people and all ages. Some nights they have bands and then will play more club music. The clubs are Jenkinsons and Tiki Bar. There might be others but those are the 2 I've gone to.

Neptune, NJ - Headliner..Also an indoor / outdoor club. Has a good mix of people. Plays more rock / band music outside and is a club inside. Also in another area has pool tables.

Belmar has DeJais (if its still open) and Bar A. These are smaller bars and get pretty crowded.

All in all there are lots of places to go and each town is within 15 minutes of eachother.

Re: Jersey shore for bachelorette party???

I think it would be so fun!!!

You could go to Jenkinson's on the beach in Pt. Pleasant and you would have a blast!!!

I would skip Belmar if you are not into 18 yr. old Muscle tee wearing, band art tatoo type guys and girls that you can picture with those type of guys....
(I am saying this with sarcasm....NOT meant to offend anyone)

Spring Lake is also great (my favorite place at the Jersey Shore) you could go to The Parker House.....

I think you could DEFINITELY make a good time out of it!

Good Luck!
