John Anthony's / Venetian Yacht Club ????? Help!

So... I was told that they were changing their name... I put their new name on my invitations and went there to get the new direction cards, but everyone who has gone there recently has told me that they still have their old name up...not even a new sign.

I am going to be quite frustrated if I sent out invitations saying that I'm getting married at the Venetian Yacht Club and giving them directions to the VYC if it is still John Anthony's when I get married in 67 days!

I will be back on Long Island in two weeks and I am planning to go down and check it out again, but what can I do if the name isn't changed by then? How will my guests (more than 100 OOT guests) know where it is if there is no new sign?

Has anyone been there recently?

I'd love any information since I'm down in western Texas until mid-August.

A letter was sent out in July about the official name change. As of yet, I've heard that the name hasn't been changed outside but that could change soon. Have you spoken to anyone there?

If it makes you feel better, I can drive by tonight and let you know.

my friend got married there in july, when she went to do her menu choices they told her about the official name change, they sent out a letter to her guests stating the name change...day of reception the sign was still John anthonys...

My friend is getting married there in 2 weeks, she told me that the name is still John Anthony's but she didn't want to take any chances, so on her invite she put The Venetian formerly know John anthony's.. hope this helps... Good luck

They had a sign outside before you pull in two weeks ago when I went with the new name. It wasn't an official sign, bu tit was something. Good Luck!

FYI: Got a call from Daisy at JA/TVYC after she read this post and said the signs will be up next month.
