June wedding color schemes

My fiance and I are trying to decide on a color scheme for our June 2010 wedding. At first we were thinking green and purple but we also like red and gold. Do you think red, cream and gold is too wintery for a June wedding? Any other June color scheme suggestions?

You should have bright colors for June- Red is a good color, but mixing in cream and gold may make it look too wintery. What about Red and Aqua/Teal? Or Red and Orange?

if you guys love the reds, creams and gold i say go for it! Its in the summer so you'll get the summer feel. But if you want you can throw in other colors too (like previous poster suggested) to make the colors pop more. Totally up to you!

To be honest I don't think there are any particular color schemes that 'should' or 'shouldn't' go with a season. That's the beauty of it being YOUR wedding.....you can have whatever colors YOU want.

Personally, I think red, cream and gold would be gorgeous. My wedding is the same date as you, and my colors are red, white, silver and black.

Don't let anyone talk you out of it if you love those colors just because they think June should have brighter colors. They can do that for their own wedding then.

If you love those colors, then I say go for it...don't worry about it not being summery,it's your wedding Besides, there are so many reds to choose from nowadays!!

If you really want those colors, go for it. They have lots of different shades of reds. Good Luck.

I was actually torn between red and cream or aqua/pool blue and cream. I went with the blue b/c of my RH's colors. I think the blue will pop more than the red. Sometimes it helps to make several visits to your RH and simply look at the colors around you. The color will jump out at u!

I say go for whatever color scheme you like. You could make it more summery by the actual dresses you pick (lighter, possibly shorter) and by the flowers.
