LI beach wedding???

My fiancee and I have decided after a million different ideas lol that we want a beach wedding,we were thinking about going to FL but the issue is that we would have to fly down with 2 kids one being 2 so it wouldn't really be easy at all..so we decided to do a beach wedding on LI..he said the south shore is better...but I dont know where...im from PJS and I swear I can get lost in a paper bag lol..Then we want to have a reception for about 70-80 people.nothing crazy just relaxed/fun..I would like to find someone who plays the metal drum thing so it sounds tropical..I think this is making sense LOL..ahhh HELP!!!

LI beach wedding???

Not on the beach, but waterviews are the Riviera and Chateau La Mer, Venetian Yacht Club all on the south shore. I believe they can accommodate your party size, but I'm not positive. There's also Bridgeview Yacht Club, but I'm not familiar with it.

On the beach is Gurneys and a few others in Montauk. They are all great options. Good luck!

Chateau La Mer is also cool because you enter your reception on a yacht!

I like Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays and there are a lot of nice restaurants there that could probably hold a reception for you (but if you're getting married in October, a lot of them may be closed for the season).

LI beach wedding???

The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow is right on the beach. It's nothing fancy, but you said you wanted relaxed so it fits. It's a open empty building with a wall of windows and steps to the sand. I recommend checking it out...it is north shore though.

Also run by Lessings is the View in Oakdale, thats on the Water and a nice smaller venue.

The Snapper Inn also does outdoor Pavillion weddings, although I've never been there so I'm not sure what it looks like.

Anyway hope that Helps

Try the Snapper Inn. Perfect for a smaller wedding and right on the water.

LI beach wedding???

I checked out the Wall's Wharf in Bayville. Its a restuarant right on the water (north shore). they have a back room for an inside reception but they told me that you could rent a tent and do the whoel thing right on the beach. The prices were much more affordable than many of the reception halls i looked at. The downside is the parking lot is small and they keep the restaurant (which has outdoor seating) open during the wedding.
