Makeup artist that doesn't require 3-person minimum?
I'm just starting to look at makeup people (thanks for the great suggestions a few weeks ago) and I'm also just realizing that many of the makeup artists have a minimum number of people that they require. A lot require three before they'll come and do a wedding. My mistake- I only budgeted ~150-200 for makeup and didn't consider paying for my bridesmaids' makeup. (We're not really a makeup-y bunch, so I'm not sure they'd be into it, anyway.) Does anyone know of any makeup vendors that don't require a minimum and might be within my price range? Also, did anyone ask their bridesmaids to pay for their own makeup and/or hair, or is that generally something the bride covers?

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding in August and the bride paid for our make up as a part of our gift. We paid for our own hair. She was very upfront and let us know the prices way ahead of time. Hope this helps!

Ask your bridesmaids if they'd be interested in having their makeup done. Give them threw price quote and let them know they don't have to. You may be surprised that they'll want to have pro makeup on the day.

Re: Makeup artist that doesn't require 3-person minimum?
I'm using Almond Eyes (Jennifer Membreno) - she has no minimum amount and was totally going to come to the hotel for just me alone. Turns out my FMIL and MOH want there makeup done too, but it wasn't needed. Just me would have been $175, but it drops from there if you have more participants...

I'm not paying for my bridesmaids hair or makeup. I gave them the quotes I got and told them it's totally up to them if they want to have hair or make up done. Some brides pay for it and some don't. It all depends on your budget. 3 out of 5 bridesmaids said yes to hair and make up.

I also am not paying for my BM's hair and make up. I told them how much it is and they can choose what they want to have done. Most of them are having at least hair or makeup. We are going to need extra girls come to do hair and makeup so that is an extra charge and I'm going to cover that.Out of everyone I spoke to they all have a 3 or 4 service minimum. You could always try the girls that work at the makeup counters. Some of them do it on the side and may be willing to come for one person.

Kelly from Glam Me Up! She's very reasonably priced and didn't have a minimum. And she's super sweet and did a great job!

It was just me and my sister had her tan lines covered up. I used Makeup by LO and she was awesome! She charged me $135 and my makeup was perfect all night. She also did 2 of my friends for their weddings and they loved her too!!

I'm not paying for my bridal party. I told them it was their choice. My hair person is also a makeup person so as of now (haven't done the trial yet, but she showed me some great photos) I plan on using her for makeup as well. Both my FSILs said that they have their own hair person but would be in for the makeup. I think between hair and makeup she's like $165.Welcome New Vendors
