Memorial table at RH?

Did anyone, or is anyone doing a memorial table of some sort of people that passed away that you want to acknowledge on your wedding day?

I've seen candles & stuff and FH and I want to do it!

Any ideas?

We didn't do a memorial table, but we DID put all of our grandparents wedding pictures out on our escort card table (all of our grandparents are deceased). We also had my IL's wedding picture, because, well, MIL gave it to me (they're both still alive).

nice idea....I was thinking of doing a table in the room, but now that I think of it there is also that other table of NRC by the stairs. It's like another small end table that we could probably put pics on.

on the same table as the guest book we are going to have a frame will 6 openings on it, this message below which will be printed out and put in one of the openings, and then the other oepenings will have pictures of our family members who have passed. There will also be a floating memorial candle (similar to our unity candle, but smaller) next to the frame.

I have to do something like this....i have been very lucky so far in my life and i still have many many of my family members, but my FH lost his mom years back to CA. It was rough, he is such a mama's boy.

Not sure how i'm going to incorporate her memory yet.

I probably will steal your peom JOC, lol

I've been lucky also, except my g-pa died this past Dec, but FH's brother died when he was 20 and his brother was 21. So, he definately has to be acknowledged at our wedding.

My DH lost his mother too... WE had this poem put on a memory candle which was lit at our church. We lit our tapers for our unity candles from her memorial candle. Then had the candle and her picture up at the RH

please pick a bunch for me
place them in my mothers arms
and tell her they're from me

Tell her that I love her and miss her
and when she turns to smile
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while

Because remembering her is easy
I do it everyday

I am doing candles...I have white candles with little frames the go on the candles with pictures :o)

This is so beautiful. I lost my mother, and she always had so many beautiful, different colored roses (growing in our yard). May I ask where you got the candle or how you put it together?

we kept it simple and just had a memorial candle with a few peoples names on it.

I'm not doing a memorial table at my church I'm leaving a rose for each on the seat as if we were holding a place for them and we have their wedding pics for the place card table
