Mets Cake Question

Did anyone get a Mets cake for their groom's cake? I need one - not for the groom though - it is the Best Man's bday the day before the wedding, and we want to do a cake for him at the wedding. We'd like to do a Mets cake since he is a diehard fan. So if anyone can posts pics of Mets cakes they got and, more importantly, if you can give me a price range, I'd appreciate it!!!

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot.. The groomscake is for the wedding?? I'm latin and I've never seen this done before. Is there a purpose for it? I'd love to get FH a cake..

you're not a complete idiot - it's more of a Southern tradition and, in my personal opinion, gained more popularity nationwide since the release of Steel Magnolias. Never heard of it before then.

Re: Mets Cake Question

We did the one in my album - it was $100 from Audrey's. Give me a sec and I'll post.

It was vanilla cake with cannoli cream filling - delicious!

ETA: we didn't have this as the groom's cake - instead I had it at the rehearsal dinner for him.
