Re: Official Fish Choice Poll - Salmon or Red Snapper?

I voted for Snapper, everyone may know Salmon but I don't know a lot of people who like Salmon. I think Snapper is a more mild less fishy fish. Salmon has a strong flavor.

Re: Official Fish Choice Poll - Salmon or Red Snapper?

OK, I voted Salmon because it's 'safe' and people know it. BUT on second thought, it's not like it's the only thing that will be served at the wedding! People will be able to choose from a chicken and red meat entree too, I presume? So I'm changing my vote to Red Snapper because it is more fun!

Salmon is safe but so is chicken. Get the Snapper.

I agree and snapper isn't too over the top of a different fish anyway. It is a good flavor fish that most fish people will eat.

Re: Official Fish Choice Poll - Salmon or Red Snapper?

hmmmmm thats a tough choice, to past weddings that I've been to, many people choose the salmon over the chicken except for the real meat eaters that always go for the beef. If I had to pick between snapper or salmon-I am a big seafood lover and love both, my FH who also loves seafood doesn't like salmon-I think because it is a little stronger flavor-density. These days there are some warnings about farm raised salmon that people have been scared about.

Me personally, since I'm kinda bored with Salmon, it's always offered as the fish choice, I would pick the Red Snapper.

Re: Official Fish Choice Poll - Salmon or Red Snapper?

I don't like fish, but FH does and the one fish he doesn't like is salmon, so I say go for the snapper. We're going to have Chilean sea bass because my FH refused to have salmon.

Re: Official Fish Choice Poll - Salmon or Red Snapper?

Salmon is always good b/c of the Omega 3s...but there is the mercury issue and some people who normally like fish don't like the taste of salmon. red snapper is tasty and less offensive b/c it's milder. fish people usually always like snapper

Re: Official Fish Choice Poll - Salmon or Red Snapper?

Salmon is great, if cooked right. However, Red Snapper is different than the usual. It's less 'fishy' anyway. Salmon is more 'fishy' typically. Maybe try both and decide which one you like better. Depending on how they are cooked might be a decision maker but I think Red Snapper. Everyone has Salmon.

Re: Official Fish Choice Poll - Salmon or Red Snapper?

I HATE salmon at any function - they never cook it right - it's always too fishy tasting or too dry ... go for something different - go with the Red Snapper
