Old Field Club and Nissequogue Club?
Hello Ladies. I have finally found two venues that I love- The Old Field Club and the Nissequogue golf club. Both offer a great setting and the outdoor/waterview cocktail hour space that I want. My only issues are that I am not totally sold on the OFC's reception layout and I have never spoken to anyone that has been to a wedding at Nissequogue.Does anybody have any feedback on events at these venues?
Thanks!

I'm from the area and I know first hand that both are absolutely beautiful!!OFC does great great small weddings, whereas I think Nissequogue holds most of their dates for member events and charity outings. I actually think their new chef is from the crescent beach club which should up the food.
Both are awesome options!

The Nisseguogue Golf Club doesn't have many weddings throughout the year because you must be a member or sponsered by a member. I've been to larger events there and they really caterer to their guests. The chef used to be the head chef at the Cresent Club and the manager also used to be at the cresent Club. The food is fabulous. My friend is also looking there for her wedding and was told they comfortably seat 160 quests in the main ball rrom. I went to an event there that had about 200 people but they had to add a tent that connected to the main room. They used that for dancing. It was great. It kept the noise away from the guests. Hope this helps.

Re: Old Field Club and Nissequogue Club?
I'll be getting married at the Old Field Club in July and have been thrilled with it so far. I just met someone who gt married there a few years back and she said we had nothing to worry about with the OFC, that the food, service, Maitre'd, everything was great! I like the layout for the reception, but i think that if you wanted to try to lay it out differently Tom, the Maitre'd would be open to anything. Once he knows you're truly interested in booking with them, he's very accommodating. (He can seem a little frazzled and off-putting at first, but ultimately he's very nice and helpful) FM me if you have more detailed questions, I'd be happy to help!Welcome New Vendors
