Pier 1 - Rio Grande Girls

i was thinking of distressing the headboard, trunk and the dresser. i like the set but would prefer a distressed look.

do you think this is feasible? i have never done this before and a little nervous about how it will turn out. i am leaning towards something similar to this;

I'd be afraid but maybe you can test it on the back of the headboard to give you an idea before you go ahead and do the whole thing?

i would try it on a not so noticeable place. im a spaz when it comes to doing projects. its our first bedroom set together so i think its fine for us plus we have so many elements in the room that are dark so it works.
