Port Jefferson Country Club Lombardi's on the Sound Help!

We are having our wedding at PJCC next June and I am having second thoughts.
Can anyone help???????
1. How many people did you have in the room?
2. Did you have problems with the people at Lombardi's where you booked. I can't seem to get them to call me back and they are not very good about putting things in writing. They keep telling me that shouldn't be a problem, but to me that doesn't mean that I will get what was promised the day of my wedding.
3. Did people complain about the bathroom being downstairs
4. Were the attendants any good? I hear mixed things about the people that help you that day.
If you can answer any of these questions I would appreciate it because I have one month to back out without loosing my deposit.
5. Did they rush you out at the end.
6. Did they have a hotel that would work with you so guests could be shutte,led back and forth(that's what Villa L told me but the hotel said they did not do that and did not have a contract with PJCC)

I am having the wedding at Villa Lombardi's but I would not worry about PJCC. It is beautiful and your day will go great. The food is awesome and so is the food.

I had my engagement party at Villa too and it was outstanding.

They are very comparable.

Everything will be great!!!!

its so nice to hear from someone else about PJCC, I had just recently posted a question about their customer service and I only heard from one person.

I am concerned myself. We have only had one meeting w/them, and that was to book the date, after that, they have not contacted us once. I've been hearing some neg. talk myself. I was told we would be the only wedding, however, their could be another party upstairs, that was alittel misleading. All of your quest. and concerns are interesting. I'm not sure what to do myself. They do have great food, but I am just concerned that my needs will not be their #1 concern. Nobody else on here, seems to have much info about them, so where do we go to find out more.

Just be a pro active bride and you will be fine.

Like I said in my review the problems I had with them in the big picture of my entire wedding were not a huge deal.

My wedding was great. My guests loved everything about my wedding. I haven't heard any complaints except my own about my wedding so that's a good thing.

I'm so sorry to hear this! I got married there 9/03 before Villa Lombardis took over. We had no problems, great customer service, the bathrooms were on the main floor, etc. Looks like VL is taking that place downhill fast! Good Luck with your planning and I hope they get back to you soon!

It's not going downhill at all. It is just beautiful in there and the food is incredible. There is an elevator for the bathrooms so its not a big deal that they are downstairs.

There was another party during my wedding (which I didnt know about ahead of time) but honestly I had no idea anyone was there.

They just need to work on customer service skills a little.

The place is beautiful, the food is great and you know what you are paying for. I just wish they were a little nicer. We're gonna stay with them b/c honestly I love the place, but its hard to be so excited , when you keep hearing negative things.

I'm not too concerned w/the bathrooms being downstairs b/c they do have an elevator. It is a little different, but where would you go and find that. I'm looking for tradition, but different than everyone else.

I just had my weddding at Villa and everything went WONDERFUL!! They did not rush me out at the end, the service, the food, the attention to details out did my expectations. I can't say anything negative about the day.
I can sympathize with you with their 'attitude' when it comes to getting things going. They are strict, and to the point, be consistent with them and get things in writing. GO there if you have to!

You have nothing to worry about with the Lombardi family! FM me if you have any other questions.

THey do associate with a couple hotels, for my wedding we went with the Hampton inn, and they shuttled my guests back and forth.
