Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

Fh and I looked at The Royalton for our June 2012 wedding. We got pricing for Friday & Saturday.

Friday $135pp
Sat $185 pp.

It wasn't our taste, but I hear the food is GREAT.

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

I went this past Feb. The pricing they gave me for a Friday in March was $125/pp. Food is supposed to be amazing there and the service great. They included the room for the night which was nice. We are not getting married at a church and I felt like the place needed a lot of decorations- draping, floral, etc. You have to use their florist, there is a choice of two. For a Friday in march that put us over budget. Also, we arent having a large wedding- the smallest guarantee they would allow was 150, i think, it may have been 125 but I can't find the paper. Hope this helps!

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

wow the pricing went down a lot!

when we looked for 2011 summer/fall we were getting quoted around 150+ for a friday night, maybe even more

but def not 100-125 range for a friday, kinda wish we were quoted in that range, we could have booked there

eta: just realized its you laura
i love love loved the royalton! if you liked the woodlands then def check out the royalton, very very similar!
and their per person price includes everything

they do not have a menu where you have to pick and choose and they upsell you for everything....everything is included, even a vienniese hour (without the extra hour)
and the menu is completely custom, they will make anything you want

they also have a room on site for the bride and groom, to get ready in and to stay in the night of the wedding, with butler service and breakfast the morning after the wedding!

that place is amazingggg!

and if the other girls are right about the pricing being in that 100/125 range that is a great number bc i was quoted way way over that!

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

When I was looking at RH's in June 2009 for my July 2011 wedding, I was told that for a Saturday night it would be $175 per person before tax and grat. We couldn't afford that. The Royalton is beautiful though. I love how you can customize the menu to your liking.

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

Please keep it mind that my pricing was for early/mid March. It may vary a lot as soon as you hit nicer weather. Also, not sure if it matters but he was aware I had a tight budget ahead of time and seemed really nice about it, which is cool.

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

i almost picked them for a sat in aug it was right under 200 pp. and although i did hear the food was amazing--- beware of what is considers 'upgrades' we wanted a few upgrades and they would not give us a total price per person they would try to work around the number without being direct. additonally, they do not have a set menu and while that is great bc it is customized to what you want- u never know what options you have.

bc they were not being direct with us and i felt a little shady i walked away from them.

oh one last thing--- they have an ongoing lawsuit (with the owner of the place and not the catering hall which rents it out) but that made me nervous and when i directly asked them about it they tried to deny it (even though i read the court papers myself bc i had access to them). fm if you want details.

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

if your guest list seems to be growing, i'd think twice about the royalton. it is very small. if your list gets near 200 people or more, it is too small. i've been to weddings there and it's cramped. the cocktail hour area is TINY, so if it's a lot of people, you'd DEFINITELY need to use the outdoor space.

ETA: the food is good, but it's not great. not worth the huge price tag, imho.

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

I wouldn't consider the royalton small..the ballroom can hold up to 300 people. I do agree on the cocktail hour room though...I still can't picture how a 300 person wedding would fit in there, if you didn't use the outdoor space.

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

I think you almost have to have an outdoor cocktail there. If it rains, they have a large white tent that connents to the doors on the inside room. It's pretty nice, they have a large chandelier in the center.

Hopefully we will all have beautiful weather and we wont have to worry about this :) but it's good to know it exsists incase. They also use outdoor heaters if needed.

My mom asked about the law suit and they didn't deny it, the manager actually explained everything and my mom (who works for a law firm) understood everything. It has no effect on the catering, plus it's been going on for years!

there is NO WAY the ballroom holds 300 people. i was in a wedding there this august and there were 200 people there and it was TIGHT. i wanted my 300 person wedding there, and they were telling me they could take over some of the cocktail hour space to make more room for a ballroom. then where would my cocktail hour be??? if the managers are telling you there is room for 300 people, they're lying just to get you to book.

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

I'm having my wedding there in 6 weeks with 275 people and they are extending the ballroom out by using part of the cocktail hour space. I don't have a problem with it. It's a gorgeous place, amazing food, everything is customized, no awful rugs in the dining room, you have the entire place to yourselves the whole day, etc etc.

If simple elegance is what you are looking for, than you should definitely look into The Royalton!

Re: Pricing for the Royalton?

Sorry, I looked back at my notes last night and they told me capacity is 275. I'll be under 200 so I'm not worried. Plus, both times I visited they had the room set up for 200 and it looked very spacious.
