Question about a groomswoman...

My FH is having his sister on his side as a grooms'woman'... Should she still wear a BM dress (sage) or the same gown in black (guys tuxes will be black)?

What are you ladies doing?

Thanks girls!!

Re: Question about a groomswoman...

Why not just make her a BM? I'm having FH's sister in my bridal party and he's having my brother as an usher.

As an answer to your question, i would say have her wear the same dress as the BMs.

he wants her on his side - he was her 'man of honor' for her wedding... but his best friend is going to be his best man..

I would stil say put her in the same dress as the BMs.. She might not look like she's party of the wedding party if she wears a black dress.

I doesn;t matter where she stands... but for pictures & such, it might look awkward

I say have her wear black to make her stand out from your bridemaids. A different dress would make sense as well IMO

Re: Question about a groomswoman...

My FH is having a 'Best Woman' I am having her wear black like the other groomsmen. But we are also getting her a wrist corsage b/c I thought a bouquet or a boutonniere might look strange.

My BM are wearing brown.

That's a good idea... My cousin's SIL was the 'Best Woman' at her wedding. She wore a black dress while the BMs wore black and white.

Re: Question about a groomswoman...

Our best woman will be wearing the same dress as the BM's but in black, with a sash matching the GM's kilts.

Could you give your girl a sash matching the tuxes?

Re: Question about a groomswoman...

I think it makes sense to have her wear black and then give her some flowers (bo-k or corsage)

I had three guys on my side of the BP - they wore tuxes and pink ties...but different ties than the GM.
