Raphael Winery Reception pricing?

Hi everyone, I'm new! Just got engaged! :)

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and trying to get a date and place set at least, I think I'll feel much better with that out of the way! I'm trying to plan this from upstate too, finishing up grad school, ugh!

We're looking at October 2009. I love Raphael, I grew up in that town. Is anyone/has anyone had their reception there around that time? Could you give me a price estimate? Thanks so much!

Re: Raphael Winery Reception pricing?

It was soooo expensive they scared me off... quickly.

I'm sure your getting a more detailed FM, but I think it was something like 8-10k just to rent the space.

There are a ton of vineyards in that area, if you can take the time do a tour and really explore. Some are more demure but oh so charming.

Just try to book as early as you can, September is the best and busiest month for vineyard weddings.

Re: Raphael Winery Reception pricing?

They were the first RH that I visited, based on colleague recommendations. The site is beautiful, but many months of the year there are fruit flies. They actual close down in September or October due to the abundance of them. Nonetheless...the facility is truly beautiful and their wine is delicious. Dinner and Dancing occur in separate rooms. I was told that there's a site fee of $15,000 that can be cut in half for a Friday or a Sunday. Cost per person without tax and gratuity was about $150. The balcony out back overlooks the vineyard, but also overlooks the garbage facility and the loading dock. I've heard wonderful things about weddings that have been held there.

Re: Raphael Winery Reception pricing?

Yes, I agree with yswedding above. The Vineyards can run you alot of$$ especially with rentals etc.

There are lots of other vineyards that have great options including Martha Clara, Macari and Pellegrini....

We're getting married at a reception hall that's on the Jamesport Vineyard so that we don't have to worry about the rentals, portapotties etc.
