Swimming with Dolphins at Sandals St. Lucia???

Anyone know if it exists? I'd love to surprise FH with this on our honeymoon - he is completely fascinated with dolphins and would love this! Anyone know?

Rach- I just asked one of the ladies I work with - she just came back on Monday from her honeymoon in St. Lucia (she also did Sandals and said it was amazing). She said the hotels offer tons of tours and are super accomodating. She didn't do such a tour but she knows that they did have dolphin tours (just not sure if they were swimming with them). She recommending calling the hotel in advance and seeing what they could do for you.

I just came back from my honeymoon at Sandals it was awesome, so excuse me if it's long, cause I am posting my Honeymoon review here. They do not offer to my knowledge swimming with the dolphins as a tour at Sandals, I don't know if it exists elsewhere else on the Island but I would check with the travel agent to be sure.

Anyway here is my review...

In and Out Travel - 631-226-2871 – A+ - www.inandouttravel.com - Ellen or Kathy – Our honeymoon was Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa (formerly just Golf & Spa Resort). All-inclusive it the way to go. This place was so beautiful and the food was amazing. There are 5 restaurants just within the Golf & Spa. Our favorites were La Toc, Kimonos and for lunch Arizona both the food and service were great. You are also able to hop over and visit or eat at the Halcyon (30 minutes away) or Grande (45 minutes away) Sandals. This place truly caters to honeymooners, everyone was so happy and friendly. There was so much love going around.

We stayed in The Bluffs, which was a mini Ocean view penthouse suite that had 24-hour room service and concierge service. The room was so nice, with a sitting area and gorgeous 4-poster bed and a Jacuzzi tub. The view was beautiful and every morning we would sit outside on the balcony and have tea and coffee overlooking the ocean. In the evenings the sunsets were to die for. We went on several excursions that can be booked through the concierge service. All were expertly run and included lunch. FM me if you want more information.

A couple of things to note, we flew and took the Continental Sandals Honeymoon express which goes direct non-stop flight to St. Lucia. The flight leaves out of Newark at 11:00 on Sundays, I was a little hesitant at first going from L.I. to Newark, but the drive was no problem and the flight was awesome. The had a Sandals representative on board and we got a meal (now a days you only get peanuts), free headset for the movie, played games and they had give a ways for little contests. Also, just in case you don’t know, the drive from the airport to the resort is about 1 hour. All the buses have air condition, it is hilly and you truly see the beauty and poverty of the island. For those of you who can stomach the drive or want to get there faster, they offer a helicopter ride, which is $100 per person and gets you there in about 20 minutes. Make sure you have a strong stomach, because some couples told us it’s a bit nauseating. Also, make sure you pack some stuff in your carry on because your luggage won’t arrive until 9-9:30 pm and most couples were stranded without luggage.

I would highly recommend any Sandals, you truly get the best value for your money.

Thank you MayDay! We ARE on the Sunday charter a week after our wedding! Did they offer champagne? FH wants to do the helicopter but I'm not sure that sounds fun to me. Last time he got me up in a helicopter I left nail marks in his arm. I was freakin terrified.

We are staying at Golf Resort and Spa as well...I'm excited to hear you enjoyed it - can you tell me which restaurants you liked? Did you guys do the booze cruise?

We went on our honeymoon there too and loved it!!! You have to go to the French Restaurant.

I know they had dolphin tours, but check to make sure its the right season to see them in, because you might end up spending the money and not seeing any. Either check with your travel agent or ask around when its dolphin season. Friends of ours who were there booked deep sea fishing trips and paid $100 each and NO ONE on the boat caught anything b/c it was the wrong season and the tour operators (not affliated with Sandals) didn't tell them prior. So just be careful and have a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the review!! We are going to the Grande and I can't wait. Which airport was is that you flew in? Aren't there two? Is that the closer one?
