The Caleps - Italian/American Band

Hi Ladies
Has anyone used them for their wedding, my family and future family saw them at our most recent Russo's showcase and my mother really fell in love with them. They used to be the Venuto Brothers or another band name and they were big in th 70's and my mother really really wants us to get them but I think they will be out of our budget....does anyone know their current going rate?

Im no help because i have no clue how much they are but Im sure they are fabulous!

I think we are using Satisfaction Guaranteed Entertainment as our DJ.... I saw them at the russos showcase last month and loved them!!

not sure who the band you are looking for but if you are looking for a great Italian/American wedding band I totally recommend The Next Step. My family is really Italian and we HAVE to have Italian music at the wedding. These guys are great! message me if you want more info

YAY!! RUSSO'S BRIDE!!!
I can't remember who exactly told me, but when we were looking at bands, I remember being told that they were like 5K. I'll find out for you- FBIL is related to them.
If you are willing to spend more I suggest checking out MGM Guanera Brothers. They have been around just as long as the Caleps. They are AMAZING. If your mom fell in love w/ the Caleps, I promise she will LOVEEEE MGM!!! They do showcases for you as well. Ohhh, and they played at Beatstock this year as well.

The Ventuo brothers are the band that we booked with our wedding!
They are called Voices and are based in Brooklyn. Just to give you an idea, we booked them for 5 hours, 4 for the RH and an extra hour for the VH and it came out to $8400. We booked with them last year. My FH's sister used them for her wedding in 2008 and she had booked them in 2007 and the price was only $100 less so they have been pretty steady in their price range.

The Caleps are the original Caleps. The only difference is that a few yrs ago Angelo started his own band the Voices and left the Caleps.

Russo's has the Caleps as their recommended vendor, not the Voices. The Caleps are much more affordable.

I am from Bensonhurst and live very close to where they are located. They are a very popular band in the neighborhood and almost always (years past anyway) play and entertain at the 18th Avenue Feast for Santa Rosalia at the end of August. I'm sorry I don't know how much they charge but wanted to say they are good.
My sons and DILs both used Classie Sounds Entertainment for their dj at their weddings. CS is one of the house DJs for both Russo's and the Riviera in Brooklyn and they are fabulous (just another option for you). I know my younger son paid close to $2800 for them in 2007. If you listen to them ask for either Steve or Nick to be the MC.
