The Carltun

Hey Ladies...I am highly considering to have my wedding reception at The Carltun in East Meadow, NY. I have an appointment to see the venue and sit down and talk to their people at the end of the month...but I haven't noticed much mention of this venue on Liweddings. I was wondering if anyone else has had any experiences (good or bad) with The Carltun. We are considering either a January or March wedding.Thanks so much!!

i looked there.. it was very pretty, but too expensive for us.

one of my friends sister had her wedding there, and i heard nothin but raves about it.

I went to a wedding there about 6 years ago. It was great. It has always stuck in my head. I called to check out the venue but it was too expensive. For fall 2014 I was told it was $160++ so I didn't check it out because it was too costly for me with our large guest list. If you can afford it, it's beautiful.

My friend just got married there in September. It was beautiful. I don't know the details of pricing but I know it was pricey.

my moh looked there for her wedding it's $$$$ she might have her bridal shower there. it's a nice place just not cheap. though if you go for Jan it might be not too bad!

Hey ladies as promised I said I'd update you guys on prices! My appointment is for saturday, however; they told me over the phone their prices which range from $165-185 a person & they do require a guarantee of a certian amount of people for Fridays & Saturdays. The lady implied when I told her I was interested in a winter wedding that they'd work with on pricing/amount of ppl required! I'll keep you posted!! Thanks again for all your help!! :)

The Carltun is beautiful. I booked at carlyle on the green which I believe is the same owners. You should check them out too! Their pph is about the same. Good luck :)

The most the Carltun would come down too was $150 a plate and that's some what out of my prices range:(
I thought the Carltun and Carlyle were competitors? Both venues are amazing though!!!

I've never been there but the chef at my restaurant used to work there. He said its beautiful, super nice, and the food is delicious. I heard t was extremely expensive so I didn't even check it out.

Go see and meet with them! It's worth a shot! Just don't fall in love with the place before you hear how much it is. Good luck!!

I don't know if you've checked out the Inn at New Hyde Park, but if you like the Carltun you might like it there, too!

This! Definitely check out the Inn at New Hyde Park if you liked Carltun! It's beauuuutiful.
