Valley Stream State Park???

We are thinking about talking our post-ceremony pics there...Does anyone know anything about the location?? good for wedding pics?? If not, any suggestions??

Hi,

I am from VS and I didn't know there was any nice places inside the state park for pics! I haven't been there in years but I thought it was just a bunch of benches & bbq pits.
Do share though if you find out!!!

but there is a gazebo by the public library.. that might be a better place.

OHHHHHHH... what about behind the VS pool... in the park. You have the pond there AND there is a gazebo.. they really fixed it up nice there.. def go for a walk around the pond there and check it out..

the state park dosent have anything too special, but i would suggest going over to the park across the street with the pond, there are some nice places there for pics.

yup thats behind the pool!! def there or the library/village hall.. i cant think of any other nice spots to take pics.

I live close to VS and I don't think there are any nice places to take pics at the Park. Definitely go behind the pool where there is a lake. Take a walk and check it out.

yes... but ONLY on the side by fletcher avenue/ merrick road (behind the pool) they really built it up. There are alot of weeping willows from Hendrickson avenue- south towards the bridge... IF you enter from Hendrickson ave (south entrance), you'll find that area. The north entrance is nothing but playgrounds and bbq pits. though, it is a woodsy area.

HOWEVER, over by the public library there is a gorgeous stream as well

where the arrow is, over by verona avenue, there is a gazebo which is a grea spot for pictures..

I live right by the Valley Stream library and there is a beautiful park right there with bridges, a gazebo, and streams. It's right by the train station. I have seen numerous brides doing pictures there. FH and I are going to do our reveal moment there since we really want to do pictures before the ceremony. After that we are going to the hall to do more pictures. I would check that place out and where everyone else said behind the pool.
