Viana Hotel & Spa or Inn at Fox Hollow

What are your opinions on where to have my hotel block? My wedding reception is at Woodbury Country Club.

Viana Hotel & Spa or Inn at Fox Hollow

always good to have two options...id go with a cheaper option and a fancy one. both of these places are a little more expensive. the hampton inn jerico/westbury is nice and its across the (very busy) street from the viana.

I can't say enough good things about the Viana. They have been awesome throughout the entire process. I've never stayed at the Inn at Fox Hallow so can't help there.

I totally agree - so far I've had a great experience with the Viana. Kim has been so patient with me (and all of my questions) and I hear that it's supposed to be beautiful!

I agree as well. I had my hotel block done last year and then this weekend my mom, MoH and I went there this past weekend to see if we could stay in the rooms the night before as well to get ready and they were amazing and so accommodating. I can't wait now!!

Viana Hotel & Spa or Inn at Fox Hollow

My hotel block is at the Viana and I have stayed at the Fox Hollow before. Both are nice. Are you having an after party? The space at the Fox Hollow is a little small if you're having quite a few people there.

Viana Hotel & Spa or Inn at Fox Hollow

I'm using the Viana because its closer to my venue BUT I looked at both and the Inn at Fox Hollow includes breakfast, which is nice. If I recall they were comparable price wise.

We are going to be there at the same time! We have contracted to keep the bar open, but anyone in the bar adds to the minimum tab, so you should feel free to come in with your party. They should NOT ask you to sign a contract guaranteeing a minimum! They already have one with us!

Viana Hotel & Spa or Inn at Fox Hollow

Thanks for all of the input. The problem is this: FH and I booked a room block at the Fox Hollow over the summer. Now I should have reserved like 20 rooms but I got nervous because anything that doesn't book we are financially responsible for so I only reserved 10. I stalked the block for weeks and nothing was happening so I left it alone for a while. About 2 months ago I asked for an updated rooming list and got an email response saying it hadn't budged but that the hotel was SOLD OUT for my date. No one except FH and I and my parents, sister and cousin made any reservations! So aggrivated! When I told FH, his family booked up 6 more rooms leaving one left for my best friends (MOH) who is coming in from Arizona. UGH! So now I'm trying to fix this.I;ve contacted Viana but need to act quickly. Don't know if I'll lose anything if I release rooms at Fox Hollow. I was planning on staying at the Fox Hollow the night before the wedding and getting ready there with pictures and everything. Does it makes sense to then head to the Viana after the reception so that we can keep the entire party together. We really don't want to split people up. We want an after party space and breakfast in the morning. That's another reason why we don't want to split people up. ARG!

Another good option is the Hilton Garden Inn in Westbury.
