I voted for SF only b/c I've seen their work, and almost hired them myself. This is a tough poll to answer without knowing why you are so undecided. If they both fit your budget and style, than who did you feel most comfortable with?

i feel comfortable with both. they have similar prices. silverfox is slightly cheaper.

leli's work seems to be amazing, but they don't have a great record at the BBB. it's not bad, just not great. i love gary's work, but can't get him as my photographer.

silverfox is closer to my house. their work is very nice as well, maybe not as sophisticated as leli's though. but still nice enough.

it's a tough call for me. but i just cancelled my contract with my other photographer so i need to book ASAP.

I was so incredibly happy with silverFox. I didn't feel that they were too expensive, the photographers are so nice. I hate the way I come out in pics and I actually thought that I looked beautiful.

Regarding the BBB how do we determine what is too many complaints? And if we are wondering about the issues, is it appropriate to ask the vendor?

i'm honestly not sure, that's why i don't know how much weight to put on that issue.

I went with Gary, but he is doing our wedding, not somebody else. I found him the best fit for us, and I'm sure his other photographers are just as good. What did the BBB say about him? I guess I should have looked first before booking him lol

it didn't give specifics, just how many complaints there have been.

i really love their work...i'm so torn!

I had Gary as my main photographer and Dennis for the photojournalism...NEVER once throughout the process did I ever have one complaint about him. He was always available and willing to give me advice. Dennis did such an amazing job with our photos,,he has an unbelievable eye and captures moments that you didnt even know were going on!!

It is up to you and as far as BBB..if I would of gone by that, I would of missed out on gorgeous wedding pictures...

I have to jump in for a second. Hope you do not mind. In regard to the BBB (i personally put zero faith in them - no flames please).

They are a business. Not part of any government agency etc. Anyone can send in a complaint. Even a company's competitor! If the complaint isn't answered and most aren't because when they come to a company it looks like junk mail. Many companies have complaints. Why? When you are in business for a long time you are not going to please everyone 100%. And if a company is in business for example 10 years and they do 50 weddings a year that's 500 weddings. And if they have lets say 5 complaints is that the end of the world? Some complaints are from people looking to get something for nothing. I have a complaint from someone who wasn't happy because in his opinion something was taking too long. In reality he never supplied the information needed to complete his project. The complaint is still there unanswered because I refuse to waste my time with that kind of non-sense. I saw a complaint against a photographer because they missed a shot of aunt betsy. Why did they miss it? Because no one told the photographer she was a relative. And the photographer asked for all family members to meet for the family photos. She never did and no one ever asked her to come forward. Why the BBB complaint. The bride was trying to get extras for nothing. Listen, I know my story is one sided and is not always the case. It just gives some food for thought. And again I ask, no flames in regard to my comments. Thank you!

Do you know who your actual photographer would be with either place?

I think Silverfox has a 'meet & greet' with photographers, now ( they didn't when I booked) so, you can actually meet who you are working with.
Also, ask to see the work of the people you are working with.

you know i don't mind if you jump in!

that's exactly why i don't put complete faith in the BBB---i'll check it out, but that's about it. i trust his company 100%--they are very reputable.

but i still don't know what to do...ahhhh!!!!

someone asked who my photogs would be--probably don at silverfox and bruce at leli
