I agree - navy blue is sometimes so close to black that they clash - sorry JMO!

I'm doing a bit of a brighter blue to avoid this problem.

THX girls for your opinions - i think navy and black look elegant so I was just looking to see how it did look with the black but I couldnt find any pics :(

I agree - its totally classic and elegant. We're doing navy burberry for the guys - and FHs tie is also burberry, silver . . .

Yay!!

The ties are the gms gifts and I got them from Bloomingdale's . . . they are originally $135 ea - BUT I got them during a sale so they were 25% off, I think, and then I opened a charge and got another 20% off - so we paid $81 ea.

FHs tie(s), because he also got one for the RD, are from Saks.
