Any Ideas for Table Number Holder's for Nautical Themed Wedding in 2 1/2 weeks!

My sister just called me. She is getting married in 2 1/2 weeks. The wedding is in their own backyard along Swan River in Patchogue. She will have one of those really large white tents with tables & chairs, and a dance floor etc..... The theme is Nautical/Beach. The centerpieces are low glass bowls filled with sand and shells with a lighthouse in the center, with a candle that lights up the lighthouse. The placecards are sand dollars.

She just called me to see if I have any ideas on what to do to hold the table numbers. She says she has lots of extra shells, maybe we could make something. She doesn't really have any money left to spend.

Do you crafty ones have any ideas?

I am thinking maybe getting really cheap 5x7 picture frames and decorating them with sand and shells.

Does anyone know where I could get really cheap 5x7 picture frames? They could be plastic, I don't care.

HELP! Or do you have any other idea's ?????????

I'm having a nautical theme for my wedding, and for the tabel #'s i'm using wooden boats from michaels, and i'm going to paint the table number on them.

you could paint numbers on sails for the boats. that could be cool

You can get frames like this:

really cheap! Or get some plain frames from the dollar store and glue shells on to the frames!

Too bad you don't have time to order these!

I've seen silver seashells that have a little slot in them for cards. I don't remember specifically where I saw it, but I've seen it a few times so I'm guessing you can find it easily.

Dollar Store for Frames!!!! I've seen some pretty decent ones there.

my future in laws just went to a nautical theme wedding out at the eastwind. the bride and groom named each table after a beach on long island. i thought that was a cute idea -- its personal, close to home and better then table numbers. I am going with artists names like picasso and di vinci because i am an art teacher. i like that cheesy stuff. smiling

yes, def. go to the dollar store buy some frames glue sea shells on them and name each table with a beach. tell her not to panic. everyone has ideas -- work with them - goodluck

you can get some rope (the rope used to tie boats to their moorings) and coil it , then take more rope and make it into the number of the table and hot glue it onto the coil

I have the perfect idea!!!! Some wedding person gave me this idea since I am using lighthouses- put a flag with the table number on top of the lighthouse!!!So easy to make and inexpensive. I loved the idea when this person gave it to me!
