Invitation wording help- time starting at six thirty

I searched and couldnt find a post about this.

If i want the time to be 6:30 start do how do i write it out on my invite?

like this:
Saturday, the second of September
Two thousand and six
At six-thirty in the evening

does this look correct?? Please help me this is so confusing!

I would say half past six o'clock in the evening if you are going formal...

Half Past Six in the Evening...

When we consulted invitation guides, we were informed 'half after five' was correct.

Mine is the same time -- the books I looked at said

'half after six in the evening'
