Losing my mind! Can't decide on venue-agghh! Tappan Hill, VIP Country Club, CV Rich Mansio

Hello Ladies! I was a little reluctant to post but after seeing how HELPFUL and NICE everyone is, I decided to give it a shot. Here is my dilemma:

I live in Boston and my fiance lives in Westchester and we are planning to marry in NY. I have looked at SOOOO many places, but I am having trouble finding the 'right place.' I like the 'historic' old mansion feel but with the site fee its a little pricey. We plan on having about 120 Guests.

I would love to hear your thoughts on nice places in Westchester. Right now, I have thinking about the C.V. Rich Mansion, VIP country club or Tappan Hill (I Know - VIP doesn't fit my theme but they have quoted us a really good price)

Have you been to weddings/parties here? I heard Abigail Kirsch is good, but I have read reviews that food at Tappan Hill wasn't that great for price.

Congrats and Welcome!!! The only one that I have been toon your list is VIP Country Club and I LOVED IT. Also, there is a bunch that are not on your list on the same strip as VIP. For more options what about some places in LI. Some of the ladies might be able to help you out with that. I also been to Greentree Country Club and that was really nice too.

First, congrats and welcome!

The only place I've been too is VIP and it was a beautiful wedding. Also, I've been to events where Abgail Kirsch catered and she is an amazing chef.

the only place i went to was VIP and i honestly looooved it there!!! i thought it was so beautiful, the decor was very tasteful and elegant, and the food from what i hear is pretty good!! the only reason why we decided against it was because it was a little far for us but i think its so pretty there

I've never been to any of those places, but have you looked at all into Colonial Caterers? They serve a few different places that seem to describe what you're looking for.

VIP was my 2nd choice. I LOOOOOVE their cocktail hour room, entrance, and i hear the food is supposed to be sooooo good.

I have not been to VIP, but I actually walked in by accident, LOL, when we were going to Becwith Pointe right up the road from it. So, I dont know if Becwith really is what you are looking for however it is beautiful and I thought it was a great wedding!

We went to the VIP, and Loved it. It was on our list of top 5. We decided the Surf Club over it though, b/c of the beach. But VIP is really nice, and the price was affordable. You may also want to check out Dougleston Manor; I heard some really nice things about them.

Im getting married at VIP and am soo happy with my decision. I have only heard great things about the place. I cant help you decide between the other places since I have never been to them. If you have any questions about VIP feel free to ask

I live in westchester, and have been to all three.

VIP is always really good, can't go wrong there.

I really LOVED the CV rich mansion...Especially if you do the cocktail hour outside.

the ONLY thing I did not like about CV is the bathroom situation. They literally have 2 bathrooms I think.
As in two toilets....
BUT I could deal with that.

Tappan hill is very pretty, but .

I feel that you will get more bang for your buck at the other two venues...again it is apersonal choice, BUT all three are very good. Good luck!!

This may be too late, but I got married at Tappan Hill in January and we STILL have people telling us how amazing the wedding was. The food was so incredibly good, maybe it's changed since those other people were there, but every person who told us how much they enjoyed themselves also said the food was the best they ever had at a reception hall.

As far as all the other things about a hall go, A+ across the board. Friendly, helpful staff, great location (geographically), beautiful space. It's definitely not your typical hall. They really took care of us.

I'm not sure what their prices are for 2010, but they are pretty reasonable considering they have been consistently voted best in Westchester and on the Knot several years in a row. When we were looking around they were the cheapest, and we got the most out of our money. FM me if you want more details about what we paid and what we got for it.
