Re: Vanderbilt Brides at Dowling College...Are there any??

I plan on looking there this weekend, but I'm afraid it may be too small for us! Our engagement party list is already 125 and thats without many of the extended relatives and friends we have to invite to the wedding! How many do you have on your guest list?

Re: Vanderbilt Brides at Dowling College...Are there any??

My best friend got married there and it was beautiful. However, she had a smaller wedding (around 110 ppl) and I think if she had had many more than that it would have been very tight. It's great for a wedding on the smaller side, I think.

Hey!

Um, my guest list was at about 120 but it has grown to a little more. Always happens! I was told that the room fits up to 160 comfortably.....But my wedding wont be that big. I think we are up to about 140.....But you always have atleast 10-15 people RSVP no so we'll see.

Re: Vanderbilt Brides at Dowling College...Are there any??

I am just recently engaged so I have just started thinking about places but Dowling is one on my list because i go to grad school there now and the website makes it look beautiful! The grounds are gorgeous and i love that its right on the water.

Also, i wasn't sure of how many the room could hold but we will probably have about 150 so that might be too tight. I have to look more into it and find out pricing and all. if you dont mind me asking, was it reasonably priced??

Congrats on choosing such a beautiful place!!

Congrats on your engagement!!

Oh its beautiful!! I fell in love with the place =) Like I said before....the woman who Ive been working with at the mansion said that it fits 160 comfortably. But I guess that could be a little crapped for some people. I dunno..........I guess its really what the couple thinks, ya know?

It actually was reasonably priced! We wouldnt of booked there if it wasnt....we have a strict budget =)

If you have any questions about the mansion, FM me if you want =)
