a bit flustered ...

Last night, I went to my mom's house for Passover dinner. She had also invited a few of her friends.

Anyway, at one point, we got onto the subject of birthdays & zodiac signs and i said i'm a taurus ... one of my mom's friends said 'oh, we don't like Tauruses' (referring to her and her partner) ... her partner heard and said 'why would you even say that?!' but i kind of played it off like i didn't care

but it did bother me for the rest of the night and i tried extra-hard to prove that we Tauruses don't suck ... of course, i tried TOO hard and made a fool of myself at the end of the night ... so i guess she had a self-fulfilling prophecy there.

anyway, i'm still a bit annoyed that she said that ... bleh!

oh, and these friends aren't 'old' or whatnot ... they were in their mid-30's .... not like they're 'of the old generation' who just don't get it ....

That was kinda bizarre - I'm guessing the person had a foot in mouth moment.

yeah definitely a foot in mouth situation - who would say that? i've definitely said 'leo is the best sign' (obvi haha), but never that i don't LIKE people who are another sign... that's kind of obnoxious, but probably not intentional.

when she said it, i said 'well, f- you too then!' ... but i said it with a smile so it wasn't too harsh!

Very weird, I wonder if she has gotten burned in the past by a Taurean?

That's really weird.

Personally, I love Taurses! They are some of the nicest, most even tempered people I know!
