all my disney girls!

so question here. . . I have to be down in Orlando TWICE for work in November and could connect the two trips to stay over the weekend at epcot/disney. . here is my question though bc I haven't been in about 15 years and know some of you are EXPERTS!!! Would disney/epcot be worth it if you were about 6 1/2 months preggo? I know I couldn't do 80% of the rides and such but I thought it would still be fun but DH says it would be a waste .

What do you all think? Fun? Waste? I might be able to get work to pay for our hotel in order to save another flight. .

Re: all my disney girls!

Disney's always worth it!! Truly the only rides you won't be able to do are the roller coasters. It's totally worth it.

If you are going to focus on Epcot - that means you can't do Mission: Space and no Test Track. Everything else should be fine.

Re: all my disney girls!

I agree with all the girls who answered!! I would go anytime, preggo, or not! You would have a great time at EPCOT just wandering through World Showcase, having a pastry in France by the Eiffel Tower :) You can take the boat ride through Mexico for sure, no worries. GOOOO!!!!

Re: all my disney girls!

Christmastime is gorgeous there, so you won't be disappointed! Plus think of all the attention you'll get as a preggo in DW!

When you call to make your reservation, or after you make your reservation call and ask the person on the phone if they have a guide to DW when pregnant. They may actually have a whole list of all the rides that are suggested you not go on and all the ones that they believe are safe for preggos. That could be a HUGE help to make it easier for you to figure out where to go when. Rides like Spaceship Earth are probably totally fine, but I'd stay off Mission space and Test Track, for example. You can probably do the Haunted Mansion, but you might want to have the wheelchair treatment somewhere like Pirates of the Caribbean (there's only one little tiny splash down, but it's better to be ready for it). If they don't have a preggo guide, you can ask for the physically challenged guide as a reference.

I honestly don't think I'd enjoy being there this pregnant (I'm 27 weeks) just because I would hate to be flying right now and I'm using the bathroom way more than I'm comfortable with. Plus walking for a while at a time or standing a while has been making me very sore. But that's just me. I also just stopped being able to sleep through the night without terrible back pain. It could be because I started out heavier than ideal when I got PG, or it's just the way my body is handling the pregnancy. But it sounds like you have the positive mindset about going, which is the majority of the fun! Disney truly is a magical place!

Re: all my disney girls!

I have never done it while pregnant but i would say go!!! I just went there this past August and I saw tons of very pregnant women there....I don't know how they handled that heat b/c I felt like I was melting!!! Anyway, November you don't have to worry about the heat and there are lots of places to eat and just sit down and chill. Downtown Disney (especially) is a lot of fun with different restaurants and shops. If this is something you are interested in going to a lot, I would suggest staying at the Port Orelans French Quarter or Port Orleans Riverside. They are not too bad price-wise and are very clean and quaint. Also, they both offer a free ferry boat to and from those hotels and Downtown Disney since it is not that far away. You could still take the complimentary bus also but I thought the ferry was nice! I hope you get to go!!! I miss Disney!!!
