Anniversary Traditions?

I'm thinking ahead to our first anniversary because I want to do something special and maybe something that will turn into a yearly tradition for us. Does anyone have an anniversary tradition they share? I'm looking to be inspired. Also since our wedding was 12/29 our anniversary will fall right around x-mas which we will always be traveling to either IN or NY for. So my wish of a fabulous anniversary vacation is out since we will have just gotten back in town from the x-mas holiday. Thanks!

we are yet to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, but every year, April 27th-our first date anivesary, we go out to dinner in the same restaurant that we had one of our first dinner dates. It's a really cute, cozy place and the food is great. That's our special tradition!

In our ceremony, we planned to give each other one red rose that symbolizes the bonds of our marriage...we forgot!!

oh well...

we also wanted to go back to Montauk every year (where we went after the wedding), but since we're not in NY anymore...thats out too...

These sound so nice!

We go to dinner every year on our first date anniversary to where we had our first date at-City Island.

As for our wedding anniversary we shall see, I still have 9 & a half months to go!

We go back to where we got married, to take pics.
So far I went back once with hubby, once prego (and my water broke hours later!), and this time we'll go with the baby!
We would have had dinner there, but they dont have a restaurant to eat at.

But thats our tradition. We take pics in the same spots as our wedding pics. (by a tree, under the gazebo, etc).
Its fun to step back in there and relive it every October!
